Florida Presidential Preference Primary results (3/17/20) (Arizona and Illinois also)

Very early, but you can see the general trend already.

Turnout is extremely low. Which is probably a good thing, as many elderly poll workers bailed out for this primary.

Note that polls in the western Panhandle on Central Daylight Time are still open for 45 more minutes.

I can tell you people were out in force today in Naples supporting their candidates. Passed a bunch of them on the way to the beach.

At this time, Alachua seems to be the only outlier county, with Biden still taking a 51% majority but Sanders reaching 39%.

Elsewhere in the Florida, Biden is at 61% and Sanders is at 22%.

The disparity in Alachua is likely due to the high percentage of young voters attending the University of Florida in Gainesville.

With 80% precincts reported statewide.

Biden has 130 delegates to Sanders 48. There are 219 total Democratic delegates at stake.
