The will be worn as a badge of honor around here, and will be cited as proof of the corruption so deep in the DoJ…

Until it’s not, and then somehow, these positions will be projected onto the damn libs, while no one on the right will remember any conservatives who supported it.

Not necessarily. It can, alternatively, reflect how partisan the judge is.

It’s a win-win…win.

And it’s just like the unneeded don’t say gay bill, which outlaws that which is outlawed already.

They get to write some stupid ■■■■■■■ laws that are designed to disenfranchise voters, and the base cheers, and DeSantis gets on Fox a lot, and that’s the first win…

Then if these laws stand, they can continue there GOP dominance without really having to do anything. And they can actually be more radical, thus getting more national attention, and of course, getting on Fox even more.

Win 2020election

And win #3…when they get told to stop…THEY GET TO GO BACK ON FOX and talk about how deeply, deeply corrupt the DoJ is.

see the post above.

There is no “don’t say gay” law in Florida. That’s the interpretation of activists doing their usual squeaky wheel clown show.
The law protects children and their parents up to the 3rd grade from would be sex and gender identity indoctrination by ideological perverted teachers who could be sued or held criminally liable should they do so. As well they should, teachers are paid to educate not advise sexuality.

Sheople identify themselves when they regurgibleat the nonsense the troughs fed.

It’s only red due to gerrymandering, otherwise it would be purple as Barney the dinosaur.

You mean the judge that was appointed by extreme president Barack Obama? That judge?

I fully expected this particular line of comments. And yes, I can identify instances of Republican and Democratic Judges acting in partisan manners.

This is not the case hear.

Nor is it even close to legislating from the bench.

The Voting Rights Act of 1965 was deliberately crafted to be wide ranging and was INTENDED to be wielded as a club on recalcitrant States, not used as a jigsaw. It was INTENDED to be proactive, not reactive.

Judge Walker has used the Voting Rights Act as Congress intended that it be used. A sword to protect the powerless from the powerful. A sword to ensure that NOBODY is ever debarred the fundamental right of the ballot box.

Federal Judges were deliberately granted wide ranging power under the Voting Rights Act and Congress intended that they USE that power whenever and wherever necessary to protect the sanctity of the ballot box.

Congress gave Judge Walker that power and he has used it in the manner Congress intended.

I would further note that Judge Walker has ruled in Florida’s favor in a number of voting rights cases and he ruled in Florida in one of the four consolidated cases included in the link I gave in the second post of this thread. In cases where Florida was in the right, Judge Walker ruled in their favor.

Florida had no issues in 2020 that required any legislative intervention. SB 90 was a solution to an imaginary problem. SB 90 was red meat for political purposes.

It clearly violated the Voting Rights Act and Judge Walker so ruled.

I EXPECT any Federal Judge (Republican or Democrat) to use the Voting Rights Act as Congress intended and ensure that access to the ballot box is not compromised.

This is a bill designed to alienate LGBTQ in FL. really its just a bill to get desalts national attention and adoration from the trump base. and based on this forum it’s working.

Says the guy who thinks edited videos from selected news outlets and social media accounts are a more complete record than a criminal investigation and trial.

Let me hear it…Baaaaaaaa says the sheep…go ahead, let it rip!

The judge is clearly a woke lib partisan appointed by Obumma.

I would trust the wisdom and fairness of DeSantis any day over this clown.

How dare DeSantis actually require people to identify themselves before voting!

The dems can’t steal any elections like that!

Really? Florida has a Republican governor and two Republican Senators. Those are elected by the total popular vote in the state.

Maybe in other places, but from what I am reading Sex Education in Florida is not even mandated and if districts choose to teach some form there are requirements they have to cover.

Anyone saying it is illegal in Florida before grade 6 better find some proof.
