The election is over and there was no red wave whatsoever. So in the mind of the Left, why should they do anything about this? As Joe Biden put this when asked:

“Why go to a border state and not visit the border?” a reporter asked the president shortly before his departure.

“Because there are more important things going on,” Biden replied. “They are going to invest billions of dollars in a new enterprise in the state.”

These left wing politicians could give a flying ■■■■ about these people or the American people! It’s all about getting in future voters. They see nothing wrong with just dumping these people in middleclass communities far from their multimillion dollar homes in their multimillion dollar communities!

What I do know is, you are not very good at deflections and distractions used to disrupt a productive discussion concerning the general welfare of the United States and her citizens as applied to an ongoing invasion of our southern border.

JWK

Our federal government, by the terms of our Constitution, is commanded to “guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion” ___ Article 4, Section 4. Constitution of the United States

I posted this before but it’s apropos to do so again:

The administration is working on a plan to manage “remain in Mexico” as a strategy. It’s unclear whether a formal waiting list is part of the plan, but it probably should be. But whether it is or not, while progressives have panned the administration’s effort to promote a “remain in Mexico” solution, it’s actually the correct solution. It’s good that they are pursuing a deal with Mexico to manage these migrant encampments and work out safe residence for them.

If this doesn’t work, it will be time for the nuclear option. Congress could to take steps to designate Mexico a “Safe Third Country.” Making this designation happen would mean that no Central American entering the United States over the Mexican border would be eligible for asylum, as they already passed through a “Safe Third Country,” Mexico.

Unilaterally declaring Mexico such a country would probably outrage Mexico (they don’t want to keep all these migrants either), and be something of a stretch. Many parts of Mexico are decidedly not safe. But if we can’t find some way to manage the backlog and return the asylum program to its limited intended use, then it’ll be time to categorically exclude southwest border crossers from asylum eligibility.

However, that time has not yet come. A combination of the wall, improved resources for immigration courts, and a sound “remain in Mexico” plan will almost certainly do the trick at reducing problematic asylum claims. With these fixes made, the asylum crisis will resolve itself in short order, and we can all go back to arguing about something else.

If people are being stopped at Mexico’s border, why is a subsequent plan needed to gather them all up in Mexico? That is the point I am trying to make.

I’m not going to quote the post (too long), but thanks for posting it.

So first of all, that illustrates my point, but from the different direction. If the R’s had designated Mexico as a “safe 3rd party”, the Left would have gone ballistic.

That is why I wonder about threatening Mexico with tarrifs and sanctions to close their own southern border. Would the right immediately begin attacking the administration on the economic turbulence that would create?

Yes he did. That is not even debatable.

They were being stopped before the U.S. / Mexico border and was part of the entire plan.

I see you are still deflecting, distracting and ignoring what has already been posted:

“Mexico’s immigration agency added more checkpoints on highways in the south, where they search buses and cars for undocumented migrants. Officials have stepped up raids of a freight train people call La Bestia, or The Beast — long known as a quick and free, but risky, way for migrants to travel north. Several bus companies in the country now require immigration documents to purchase a ticket.”

There is no “humanitarian crisis” at our southern border as erroneously reported on Fox News. It is an outright invasion of the United States, intentionally orchestrated and perpetuated by the leadership of our tyrannical federal government which includes traitorous, judges, legislators, and our current president of the United States.

Huh, why would they object to putting back in place Trumps pressure?

Biden put an end to all that.

Why are you politicizing after accusing me of doing so? LINK

Well according to

the Supremes enforced a stay issued by a lower court.

Which means Biden tried and failed to end all that. Which bring me back to my question: what if the administration threatened Mexico with a slate of punishing sanctions? Would the right support that?

Why do we need remain in Mexico, if Mexico is stopping them?

Buh bye John

Hmmmm… I see you are still politicizing, distracting and deflecting.

Mexico is not. There’s too much money being made. The US needs to declare Mexican cartels terrorist organizations and prosecute them domestically and/ or covertly outside the US. Sounds Clanceyesque but it’s painfully obvious money is doing the talking. Wouldn’t surprise me if it was discovered US politicians were on cartel payrolls. Why else would the obvious incredible volumes of death, destruction, lawlessness and the illegal invasion be allowed to continue?

One of the reasons Mexico is no longer stopping the flow of foreign nationals flooding through Mexico on their way to the United States is that the Biden Administration is no longer threatening tariffs on Mexico’s exports into the U.S. which was the stick used to encourage Mexico to stop them.

JWK

Is the “big guy” (Joey open-border Biden) now getting 10% of the profits Mexico’s government is getting for assisting Mexico’s cartels in their drug and human trafficking across our border?

Wouldn’t it be simpler to just apply economic leverage? I mean serious
economic leverage. After all, they are our second ranked trading partner.

It would ding us for sure, but we could then reroute the foreign aid to mitigation.

In any event, I agree with designating the cartels as terrorist organizations. Or maybe even some new designation around international criminal activity.

Brilliant. You just think of that on your own?

No, of course not.

Wow are you not paying attention. He is not enforcing it at the border. The only thing the court did was make it able for the next administration to use it. It can not force Biden to use it. He also took away the threat of tarrifs and sanctions against mexico. Ending their motivation.

Why do we need laws if no one is enforcing them?
