What op-Ed piece?

We capitulated to Iran? That’s a hot take. Let me know when and where to turn myself into the IRGC.

On the ground 3 hours, never met with a single Iraqi official, only spent 20 minutes meeting with the troops, but had time for a 2020 Reelection Campaign Rally.

Oh, just ran a few basic numbers, thank you Judicial Watch, and it would seem the cost, just for AF 1, for Trump’s campaign rally to Iraq is $6,191,310.

Or a cost of $309,565 per minute spent with the troops.

Woo Hoo!

What a great Christmas Present to give to Americans during a Trump Government Shutdown!

Oh, well, I heard it was closer to $200 million per day. :upside_down_face:

Then you know what SeaManatee said is perfectly accurate.

Why did President Trump turn the visit into a campaign event and a whine-fest? Does that show respect to those men and women serving?

Donald Trump doesn’t need to show respect to Democrats, even if they are serving in a war zone. Donald Trump gives respect when people respect him. Voting against Trump is offensive.

No it’s not.

To give liberals something important to whine about. Yes, did it show respect when Obama did it?

True. A mortal sin even. Opposing Mr. Trump is tantamount to treason in his mind.

Yes it is.

You believe President Trump turned the visit into a campaign rally to give liberals something to whine about? Lol. You must be trying to tell a joke.

I don’t remember President Obama ever turning a visit to troops serving overseas into a campaign event and whining about Republicans. Can you please link to what you’re talking about so we can discuss it further and compare and contrast? TIA

He also did it while campaigning. And had his wife signing pictures.

So you don’t have an example of President Obama doing what President Trump did, by turning a visit to troops into a campaign event where he attacked the opposing party. I didn’t think that happened. Thanks for the confirmation.

I just gave it to you.

thats in Texas…

What difference does that make?

Maybe the phrase

I don’t think signing hats is a big deal, but the lying to them about a 10% pay raise is gross as is bringing in the usual grievances of border walls and tariffs, he did the same thing for his thanksgiving calls. Whenever there’s a camera he just runs down his standard complaints.

Obama signed autographs in Iraq as well. It doesn’t violate regulations.

I keep hearing he said this and can’t find it. I see where he claimed they haven’t had one in 10 years, which is course ridiculous. But not 10%.

“They had plenty of people that came up, they said, ‘You know, we could make it smaller. We could make it 3%, we could make it 2%, we could make it 4%,’” Trump told the troops about the latest pay raise. “I said, ‘No. Make it 10%. Make it more than 10%.’”

'Cause it’s been a long time, it’s been more than 10 years. Been more than 10 years, that’s a long time," Trump said, repeating the false claim.

Pretty sure I saw it live yet can’t find a video of him saying the % remark, just the lie that they haven’t had a raise in years. I read a very generous, imo unprofessional, take from townhall that said yes trump was just mistaken about not having a pay raise in years and that the media is being dishonest about the 10% thing in that what trump realllllly meant is that over four years the raise would add up to 10%.

so nothing about making it a campaign event or whining about the other party? thank you for admitting it. its going to be a good new years i think.

be safe

But where does it say he told them he gave them a 10% raise?
