Feel great about it, it is a real milestone! Plus, she was born on the same exact day as me, October 20, 1964. So she has to be a winner!

There a lots of folks who say that the Veep slot doesn’t mean much, nor does it help your cause when running for President. For the most part that may be true, in 2016 for both sides it was true. But sometimes it does help.

Biden knows why he won the nomination, and it wasn’t because White guys got him there, it was Black Women who did, in SC. Giving a nod to a qualified candidate for Veep that shows this community that their vote mattered and he acknowledged it is a good thing and I think it really pushed Black Women to get to the polls.

I think it also hurt him with Black Men, by the way.

Harris is a solid pick, she was friends with his son, Beau, so he knows her character. She is blunt and educates herself on the matters at hand, both good attributes. And I honestly think he likes her, and that they get along just fine. Which is important.
