Meh. Better than purposefully trying to muddy the waters.

The poster was highlighting that the post-event “explanations” of the meeting have turned out to be lies that had to be back tracked after discovery of contradictory contemporaneous emails discussing some of the meeting.

They are stating, quite rationally, that they would disregard any after the fact cover story from the Trump’s but would rely on the emails from the time of the event as primary evidence and very reliable.

That is, if we want to be rational about this.

As an aside, if anyone thinks Trump didn’t know about this meeting needs their head examined.

What do you call it when everyone lies about a supposed “total legal” meeting?

Yes. Suspicious. And my very obvious point is that you can’t just fill in the unknown parts of what the meeting might have been about even if you don’t believe it was about what Trump Jr said.
You can’t understand that point?
And if you are relying on pre meeting conversations, remember the “I love it”. That statement was made about the meeting being about getting dirt on Hillary. That is the evidence we have.

I’m honestly curious (not expecting an honest response of course). How long do you folks feel this investigation should have taken? A week, a month? How long do you think it should have taken Mueller to exhaust all possible avenues and put out a report?

I’m not suggesting they be put on trial based only on the email contents. I’m glad there’s an investigation trying to get to the bottom of it. An investigation which is wrongly maligned as being a witch hunt when there are deadly serious issues at play here.

As for the trial of public opinion, they’ve already lost that for me. Their repeated lies should raise the concern of others as well.

It seems weird to me that Paul Manafort, Trump’s campaign manager, was sharing 2016 election polling data with a Russian intelligence operative, and then lied about doing so. Maybe that’s just normal campaign campaign manager behavior. Maybe Kilimnik is just a US political data buff. Who can say?

I heard the same bs coming from the right during the Benghazi extravaganza. Mueller will write a report and then Trumps legal team will respond with their own. A couple dozen congressmen will talk about impeaching Trump but it won’t lead to nowhere because Nancy knows it’s dead in the senate.

By the time people figure all this out the 2020 election will already have passed.
