Anyone can do as they choose and if your choice is to bail out those committing acts of violence and you’re also running for the second most important job in our country, your choices will be huge indicators telling the voting public where you stand on current events. Kamala by her actions said quite clearly, she stands with the rioters, arsonists and looters.

You certainly didn’t address me with that post.
If they are given bail, then surely at that stage it should be allegedly?

So you agree with me that some of these videos of cops killing and shooting citizens, speak for themselves? Glad we can agree.
Many others here won’t voice an opinion without a full trial.

…and it shows Harris sides with them and believes they are innocent…and that’s her right. Now let everyone know where she stands on this issue.

I’m glad Joe spoke out against violence.
It would be helpful if the president did the same re: cops killing and shooting citizens.

Providing someone bail has no bearing on your opinion of guilt or innocence.
Do you have a link to what you are talking about?
That is your conclusion; one that I don’t agree with.

Take George Floyd and the officer who knealt on his neck. Whether he killed Floyd or Floyd died from the results of an overdose, either way, the officer was wrong and should be indicted. I’ll leave it to the courts to decide whether he’s guilty of murder.

Yeah…well…good thing you aren’t voting.
I do vote in Australian elections (federal, state and local).

fair enough and I agree. plenty of people here disagree with us.
Yes your choices to support people exercising their constitutional right is a huge signal.
You are also in this thread decrying Due process because “video”

Yep…and when those who say they are against violence but their actions say otherwise, I believe their actions.

If the judge provides for bail, that indicates, the judge thinks they are not a danger to the community.
It is much easier and more effective to mount a defense when the accused is out of jail, so taking advantage of bail is important. Also, people have other commitments - children, work, etc… Leaving them locked up in jail with no bail often starts a ‘death spiral’ of debt and neglect. Children aren’t cared for, money isn’t earned, debts aren’t paid.
Wether the person is innocent or guilty is irrelevant. If the judge says you can be let out on bail, it is in societies interest to get these people out on bail.

Looks like we are finally coming together to listen and not bully opinion.
Respect is a two way dialogue.
The condemnation of what happened to George Floyd has been overwhelming and something we can ALL agree on.
My idea is to give more power to citizen review boards when a questionable office involved shooting happens.
This represents a tangible goal and would help everyone except the people who abuse authority.

She is not paying to get them out of the country so they can escape prosecution. She is indirectly helping them be free during prosecution. It doesn’t make them any less guilty of violence. Keep on pretzeling

Actions speak louder than words and she supports arsonists, vandals, rioters and looters and that’s her Constitutional right. Now let this truth be broadcast loudly to all voters and let them exercise their Constitutional right to vote.

It becomes a problem in the current environment when these released actors return to the same activity that they are charged with.
Some of these violent instigators do need to be held. Decision best handled locally, not by national advocates throwing bail money around without having all the facts.
