Well said.

Protestors.

You have no proof that she did any such thing.

You weren’t paying attention.

Someone else is always cutting their check.

It’s how bail has worked for years.

You are supporting a system where the less fortunate who commit crimes should rot in jail while those who have a little more fortune in their lives can skate until trial.

This is what orgs like the MFF seek to rectify.

Kamala Harris has supported cash bail reform since 2017.

And who did she ask for support for?

Point to the part of her tweet where she said she was asking for rioters to be bailed out?

I don’t get it. The republicans/conservatives are supposed to be all about the constitution. This is something that has become unconstitutional yet they defend it like crazy.

In the current system, I can be an accused serial killer, but if I have enough money, I can be free until trial.

Whaaaat? You didn’t see this on CNN? :man_shrugging:t2:

I support buying AR15s for people who can’t afford them. But I can’t.

I wonder what the posts would look like if VP Pence did?

Had they been found guilty of any of the charges for which they had been charged that they were bailed at the time of being granted bail?

I am definitely NOT going to research this for you. Why the hell would I do that?

No research is needed: since they had not been to trail at that point in time and on the basis of the presumption of innocence until proved guilty the answer is no they had not been found guilty.

Then why did you ask the question?

It was a rhetorical question.

If there is a presumption of innocence, why is bail imposed?

Oh yeah…protestors were just unambigously arrested…amirite?

…cept her tweet that I provided. :sunglasses:

The headline is misleading. Those people weren’t convicted. They are innocent until proven guilty.

Yes. often actually.
