Fewer and fewer Americans want anything to do with serving in the military

Did you not read your link?

You could have “ink”. You could get “ink” while in.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::+1:t4:

That’s called a “sea story”.

That’s an anecdote, “Sea Stories” by Naval tradition are required to beging with “No ■■■■■ this really happened…”.

Just FYI…

Yes, but they were previously requiring waivers for neck and face ink

You should’ve seen who they were letting in right before/after the 2007 Iraq Surge kicked off.

Some of those guys later had to pay out of pocket to get their neck and hand tattoos removed or be ineligible for re-enlistment.

They’re still throwing fits on the floor, like a toddler who doesn’t get to murder his toys.

Yes, but so what? They were required to be coverable.

You should go sign up and find out why.

Probably doesn’t help that no President in their lifetime ever had the guts to serve. They also learned that they don’t want to kill innocent brown skinned people for our coward Presidents

A sad state of affairs when Booosh! was the last President with a semblance of fortitude. Oh man!

How is the Russian military doing?

Right. Meaning this new generation was having problems enlisting with visible ink. Heck, even 6 came through with a post talking about how they had to remove tattoos to stay in.

Always the same stupid song and dance from you

Our advantages are in the technology of our equipment, which is a result of the amount of money we fund that with. I would highly doubt we have any advantage in regards to the quality of our enlisted soldiers.

You feel you can understand without experiencing. You’re wrong.

I loved my time. I did 26 years active duty. I retired near a military base that trains helicopter mechanics. As much as I loved the time I was in, I wouldn’t do it now. To much woke crap occupies the training regimen.

And?

The US military, with the exception of a few units, is ruined.

I don’t need to get a neck tattoo and be barred from enlistment to understand that neck tattoos were barring enlistment.

To assert otherwise is plain silliness.

To understand why they are not a good idea. Damn!

This is seriously what I think is going on… and why ads like the one that is getting flak exist.

After two decades of sustained foreign conflict, the pool of people wiling to take up arms has been steadily diminishing especially given a period of sustained economic growth during that same period. The military as a job prospect has been diminished.

So the recruitment advertisement has turned from come and learn to be a man and fight that existed in the 80’s and 90’s to that this is a career path like any other. They are looking to appeal to wider demographic because they need to find a larger pool of people because the entire nation is experiencing a labor shortage… and that includes the military.

None of that means that there is a wider conspiracy to push conservative out of the military or make the entire thing gay.

You should sit this one out. Too.
