But, what if a biologic female who now identifies as a male wants to compete against other men?

And the argument that Biologic male who identify as female should compete amongst themselves is silly as well. There aren’t that many of them.
The fact of the matter is, these folks have a condition which makes their biologic sex unwelcome and traumatizing. Living life as the other gender can lead to a more peaceful and fulfilling life for that person.
But just like a lot of other conditions, it comes at a cost. One of them should be being unable to compete in sports against your desired gender rather than your birth gender. No separate leagues, no leagues at all. Live a healthy life and enjoy sports as a hobby, but the competitive ship has sailed.
And that goes for Female to Male Trans athletes as well, if only to protect them from injury.
If we are striving for tolerance, that burden goes both ways and the auspices of an unfair advantage only hinders their movement and fuels hatred towards them.

Common sense can be applied to trans athletes on a case by case basis but that is banned in schools these days. This should not be an issue but it’s gets both sides bases riled up

How can women running a race, let’s say, have competition on an equal playing field when trans women top them in height, muscle mass & upper body strength?

Sex segregated sports doesn’t create a complete level playing field… it might be more level than no segregation at all, but there are still variations in skill. Segregating sports based on sex is based on assumptions that most ciswomen fall into certain physical ranges and likewise with cismen. But as evident by women like Caster Semenya, that assumption isn’t always accurate. That’s why I’m in favor of segregating based on physical measurements and not chromosomal .

No one thinks they are bigoted. The “third gender”, aka non-binary, covers all the others in the spectrum that are male or female.

Socially constructed roles - ok, sort of. But irrelevant to our context. There are both men’s and women’s sports - the roles are the same. Society has also accepted women as bread winners to some extent.

Identities - now we’re getting somewhere. Did society construct man as woman?
Do these roles really vary from society to society? Where did which society construct man is woman?
How society interacts with? In this context? I’m not sure what that means. Accepts males giving skull fractures to females as long as there’s a referee?
