No, I’d say he won in spite of it, not because of it. Besides, he really ramped it up after he won and it is likely it is going to cost him the next election, unless democrats nominate a radical.

But again voter fraud, could if it happened, swing elections and therefore could, if it happened, undermine confidence in the elector process therefore i would suggest that it would be time and money well spent. I mean look at it is terms of the money spent on both the pointless investigations into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election and the investigation into the mercenaries that were killed in Benghazi i am sure that getting the voter data would be a drop in the bucket compared to these to examples

So, since appropriations originate in the house, do you think Democrats are going to spring for it? Lol

Declare it a national emergency.

Go around Congress.

Dont see why not as i say we spafed money up the wall for the two phony investigations i mentioned before and i am sure, as it is such an issue and maybe a mater of national security, the POTUS could write an EO and move some cash from the stalled wall to this area and we could all get clarity on this situation

How is it a matter of national security?

because a bad actor, foreign power, could manipulate the vote to get their person into positions of power not starting at the top but seeding lower level elected roles say start with school boards and then slowly work the way up the ticket and then before you know it you have a duly elected puppet.

That’s a leap. Is there evidence of that happening anywhere?

The President claims three million fraudulent votes in the 2016 election.

That seems like a national emergency to me.

well about as much evidence that there was mass voter fraud but we have seen, on a smaller scale, special interest groups supporting grass roots groups into getting people proposed and then voted on to lower levels of local government and then working their way from, say, school boards to local town and city authorities and then from there up the tree.

agreed but my worry is that it may not be and therefore is worth investing in time and money to find out who can vote and who, if any, should not have. I would suspect there are dark places on both the left and the right that need light shining on them

So instead they want to unload those man hours into the states. Ok.

The states already put in those man hours, they are records they already have.

Do you think Trump won or more fact Clinton lost? A half-dead orangutan who was throwing poo around would of won with how horrible Clinton was as a candidate.

So my saying it’s not a national emergency and no funds should be allocated to it on that basis is “defending the king”? Ok, if you say so.

One of my conservative friends got mad at me because I said he wasn’t likely to win in 2020, until I reminded him I also said there wasn’t much chance of his winning in 2016.

Ok, and extracting and compiling don’t take time?

A trivial amount of time compared to the alternative, sure.

It’s the Bannon tactic
