I guess we know we’re old! 
I thought Ma Bell was Mountain Bell after the breakup of Bell Telephone.
It was all called Ma Bell at one time.
I’m not disagreeing, but I don’t remember that time when Bell Telephone was referred to as Ma Bell.

I don’t remember the details of when things happened, but it was Mountain Bell, Ma Bell, I think Bell Telephone…
Damn.
My memory tells me that Ma Bell was the moniker assigned to Mountain Bell, one of the companies that was separated from the whole at the Bell breakup.
I paid bills to both Bell Telephone, and later Mountain Bell when I moved to the intermountain west.
That sounds about right I think.
