Online banking is fraud prone. Having something prone to fraud isn’t a reason to not do something. Risk/Benefit analysis is needed.
So I ask again, a different way, if I told you the voting system was 99% effective… would you stop using it because it’s not 100%?

The people on Facebook making stupid political posts already vote. The more Americans with a voice the better

I didn’t say anything about political posts.
online banking is avail based on better business decisions for more profit and customer satisfaction, as an outgrowth of technological advancement.
this is not comparable to mail voting.

You’re right. Voting is a right enshrined in the Constitution, banking is not
Huh? Besides protecting life… what is more important than protecting money?
Is 99% effectiveness against fraud a good number to move forward with mail-in voting?

And why aren’t we required to pay our taxes in person? Seems like a lot of potential for fraud exists there
theres no way to guarantee the amount of fraud for this election, given the derangement we see, the number of situations where fraud occurred, and the potential for fraud on a larger scale

one doesnt have to “wander”
mail in voting is not “crucial”
youre attempting to re-build the narrative that fauci just destroyed
Yes, one does have to wander to maintain social distancing in a Walmart.
If masks. If social distancing. If no crowds.
I know there will be people with no masks, or won’t social distance, and there will be crowds at my polling location. That’s why I am taking Fauci’s advice and doing mail in voting.
this is not an argument for mail voting
but less fraud might take place if people paid bills/taxed in person
far as im concerned, thats a good reason to transact in person

Same here. I live in a conservative enclave within California where mask wearing is spotty at best

The end of Fauci’s statement:
“I mean, obviously if you’re a person who is compromised physically or otherwise, you don’t want to take the chance. There’s the situation of mail-in voting that has been done for years in many places. So there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be able to vote in person or otherwise.”
REPEAT: “There’s no reason why we shouldn’t be able to vote in person OR OTHERWISE.”
Everyone should have the otherwise option. I believe most people do. That will be my choice.

I live in San Francisco where we’re all good little worker bees and wear masks. Except Sam. WE SEE YOU SAM.
I just don’t think its a good idea to vote in person… and that’s fine because the more people who would prefer to vote by mail than in person means the less people to make the in person polling location go from maintained to high-risk.

Why let a third party process tax returns? Lots of potential there

What is an acceptable percentage of fraud? 1%? 2%?

And why would it be that? Wh would your local government not adhere to good practice and only let a safe number of people inside and make the rest wait outside where there is ample room to social distance. They could even pretend they know what century they are in and allow people to text in for a return text when it is their turn, allowing them to stay out of the weather in their cars.
Somehow businesses manage to pull it off.

Usually in a reduced capacity and also altering the way they operate. You lnow, like the states that expanded their mail-in option.
0 if attainable. and it is.
I was always going to vote in person. Still “like” Fauci. Do you guys think this is a gotcha moment? Weird.
