Look at some of the pictures of these supposed asylum seekers. They dress and eat better than I do.

Wikipedia ok?

The Mara Salvatrucha gang originated in Los Angeles, set up in the 1980s[35][36] by Salvadoran immigrants in the city’s Pico-Unionneighborhood who immigrated to the United States after the Central American civil wars of the 1980s.[37][30] Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Salvadoran asylum seekers were refused asylum in the U.S. and instead classified as undocumented immigrants. As such, Salvadorans began to immigrate without documents in increasing numbers. They mostly settled in cities with large undocumented populations, like Los Angeles. Salvadoran asylum claims were neglected until the 1991 case American Baptist Churches v. Thornburgh. The case’s settlement agreement required Guatemalan and Salvadoran asylum claims to be reevaluated, as long as they had entered the U:S. by 1990.

What do you see?

Where was this drowned father from and how old was he?

Now I disagree with LA as the founding location because of what I saw there during the signing of the peace treaty (yes, I was there) and after. Also in Honduras. They already existed without the name, but that’s fine.

What do you see? We’ve been down this road.

Sound familiar?

Strange thing, back then there was actually a civil war going on. There’s not now. Then your government wouldn’t grant asylum. Now it will. Go figure.

So let’s look at the “agreement”:

After five years, the settlement secured temporary protected status (TPS) for many Salvadoran and Guatemalan immigrants, providing them with among other things, de novo asylum interviews, stays from deportation and work authorization.

the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), and the National Lawyers Guild.(NLG)

Imagine that.

TPS sound like DACA?

So where were the victims of this tragedy from again?

And if it were likely that illegals would support republican candidates, your rulers would have a wall 40 feet tall from coast to coast. Approved by sunset.

crocodile tears? spare me your hypocrisy!
If the Wall had been built, that people from Central America wouldnt be there, trying to pass the broder, in that case Rio Grande.

what about the Americans becoming victims of illegal immigrants and criminals coming over the open border?

Like they did the Asians.

Primarily responsible is the deceased adult who took that infant on an illegal and highly risky trip,.
Secondarily responsible who are those who have for a year mocked Trump and refused to even acknowledged that there was a crisis.
Third are those who have encouraged illegal immigration by doing nothing to stop it at the border, enforce our immigration laws within the US, and allow employers to go unpunished…and yes, this includes both parties.

Deflection. I was responding the usual phony claim that they do.

And citizenship should not be based on political views.

Is it any more tragic than all of the other children who have died in our country and every other country in the world during the same time?

Nothing is all you have. Taxpayers are fed up with this.

:children_crossing:

True they dont like seeing children die because of stupid policies from trump.

You are what you defend

That’s not directed at you

Making it about Trump and not immigration won’t win support.

Escaping lawlessness to create lawlessness is what immigration has become and will destroy our republic.

Unless that is what you want…

:children_crossing:

It would keep them from drowning in rivers or dying of thirst in the deserts, because they would know they could not get into the country via those routes.

No Soup For You!

I follow the rules. I get soup.

You don’t make the decision of who gets soup. The one with the ladle does.

Liberals in general are going to more affected by that picture because of the inherent sympathy Liberals have for other humans imo. We are the party of compassion.

For many cons the first reaction is to point out technicalities and law. Mostly trump supporters. I don’t know if there is compassion hidden somewhere under all that love of trump and “country”.
