The frowning feline whose permanent scowl spoke for all of us in our darkest moments died in the arms of her “mommy” on Tuesday, her family said.

Friday news, but here goes:

Tarder Sauce, aka Grumpy Cat, has passed away at 7. Genetic anomaly was apparently the reason for her perpetual scowl.

Farewell, Grumpy, and thanks for the laughs brought by skillfully marketing.

“I tried purring once. It was the worst five minutes of my life.”
