It’s not really a kid but the face illusion is strong with me so I can’t make myself see what it really is.
We need someone who suffers from face blindness to tell us what it really is.

He was in the prime of his life, then he developed face blindness.

I thought so too, but then he might just be staring directly into the sun, which would also give that appearance.
