Well okay, he quoted soemone that the information would be good for voters.

But the reporter SHOULD know that. Yet he held the story until after the election

The first question is obvious. Beto doesn’t want an election to be about what he did as a teenager.

Second question was already answered. Beto’s interview was contingent on holding the story.

The author of the article (and upcoming book) didn’t say that, an ethics professor he called for a quote did.

The ā€œShe saidā€¦ā€ part should have given that away.

Maybe if the op held the same standards to other stories like this id buy that…

Since he doesnt…i dont

Odds are said reporter held onto story because he was writing a book and knew beto was gonna run for president so he wanted to maximize profits…

The reporter was under no obligation to spoil his scoop because of your fake outrage.

BS… Here is the exact quote from the professor…

Hana Callaghan, a government specialist at Santa Clara University’s Markkula Center for Applied Ethics, said that voters might want to consider both the gravity of any candidate’s offenses and the person’s age at the time.

Among the questions voters should ask, she said: ā€œWhat was the violation? Was it egregious? What does it say about their character – do they believe the rules don’t apply to them?ā€ If substantial time has passed, she added, voters should decide whether the person ā€œlearned the error of their ways and no longer engages in those kind of behavior.ā€

Hahaha ā€œexplosiveā€.

Funny thread.

Doesn’t matter. And obviously he sexually assulted more than one person.

Many women (at least 15, iirc) have come forth and accused Donald of sexually assaulting them.

That’s why I believe it is true.

And you know it’s true, too.

I’m surprised I can’t already find any memes with Beto’s face photoshopped onto the Hackers poster.

Rami Malek is going to play Beto in a new movie for FX.

This thread is bringing my back to my high school years - ā€œFREE KEVINā€ bumperstickers and going to the newstand for the newest issue of 2600.

Yep, its not an important story like the one in the Washington Post during the 2012 election about how Romney pranked someone when he was 16 by cutting their hair.

I loved that magazine…

Im sure he lost a few voters over that… nobody cares dude…nobody

Neither story is ā€œimportantā€, in any sense of the word.

But I’d much rather vote for a guy who was a hacker in high school than a guy who was a bully in high school.

This makes me like Beto so much more now. Didn’t think he could get more relatable.

Brings me back to my elementary school days in the 90s when I was cracking and trading shell accounts on my 486 and 14.4k modem to set up eggdrop bots for warez distro on IRC.

You realize sentence one doesn’t go with sentence two, right?

I don’t think ā€œexplosiveā€ really applies here.

There is no contradiction in my post.

Neither are ā€œimportantā€ - but both speak to the type of person they are.
