Just as it is with Hillary. We could go on and on about her whether Comey cost her the election. But the bottom line is that she chose to use a personal server. That was her choice and everything that followed is a result of that choice. If she hadn’t chosen to use a private server, she would probably be sitting in the WH today.
In regards to the separations. We can go round and round about U.S. policy. But in the end, the parents are making a choice to enter this country illegally, rather than seeking a legal remedy. They alone are responsible for that choice and for the resulting consequences.
Legal ports of entry, where they can ask for asylum.
The message DEMs are sending is that legal immigration and asking for asylum in a legal port of entry is too difficult. Thus all of those doing it the right way can be overridden by anyone not wanting to go through the trouble. They should be encouraged to break the law and enter our country illegally.
Rules and laws are just suggestions to DEMs. It is all about doing what feels right.
I would counter that the people here ate not, in fact, claiming that laws are mete “suggestions”, but that instead we treat illegals who are caught with humanity and compassion.
You, on the other hand, appear to be asserting that if you came hete illegally and get caught, you deserve WHATEVER comes your way, no matter how inhumane.
Keep in mind that most Trumpanzees don’t really consider illegal aliens and asylum seekers human beings. When you realize this, their attitudes make a lot more sense.
Of course there are law breakers on both sides of the political aisle. I’m talking about a culture. By their nature, conservatives are very strict about enforcing laws. We see that with the strict constitutionalists nominated to the SCOTUS. LIBs are more about feelings when it comes to the law.
What’s ironic is that this immigration debate is a prime example.
Conservatives are all about enforcing our border laws. DEMs are all about feelings and emotion about separating children from their parents, even though it is the law breaking parents who are to blame.
No…the real lesson is reactionaries look at those that commit crimes with utter contempt and believe they deserve whatever comes their way… possibly as a way to feel morally superior.
This has nothing to do with the Democrats. And if you are buying Trump’s BS on this you have clearly not done your homework. This policy was done with Trump’s pen. And he can change it with his pen. Simple as that.
He is lying that all of this is based on a law Democrats put into place. And it is pretty amazing that Republicans on the hill are going along with this ■■■■■
Unauthorized border crossings have always been illegal, but previous administrations did not criminally prosecute all border crossers the way Trump’s attorney general, Jeff Sessions, has.
