He knows the answer, you know the answer, I know the answer. It’s because they don’t want to take the repercussions and fallout for unilaterally passing legislation. They want to get a few dems on board so they can call it “bi-partisan”. The last thing they want to do is be put on the hook in the same way they used the ACA against the democrats who passed it without a single GOP vote.
Thats what this is all about. Its lip service and hang wringing all because they are too chicken ■■■■ politically to do it knowing full well they run both houses and the presidency, and they damn sure aren’t going to do it in an election year.
Yes. If I were king, our citizens in need would be cared for and the problem of what led to it solved, before I began solving the problems outside the US.
Legal immigration is fine. I love the immigrants I work with on a regular basis. We absolutely need to enforce our immigration laws like we did in 1850. That would solve so much.
But all Trump worshippers can do is blame others. Look at the responses in this thread. Democrats did this, democrats did that, democrats, democrats, democrats. Soon, when a bill is introduced, some Republican congresspeople will not vote for it, then the blame will shift to the RINOs and “establishment”. Its always blame someone else.
Not once do you see a Trump worshipper go “I wish the Republican-led Congress and Republican-led Senate would get a bill passed so that Republican Trump can sign it.”
In addition currently there must be 60 votes to end cloture on legislation in the senate. They know full well they can use the “nuclear option” to change this to a simple majority. They won’t, why? Easy, because they know there is a change they will lose the senate this fall and they aren’t about to give the dems to have an easy excuse to use this if/when they take over.
Now now now. Israel is like the coolest country in the world, next to ours. The billions we sent them is worth it because you know, we need to make sure that the capital of Israel is Jerusalem, and stuff. Ho dare you bring up Israel.
Option 1: Come through a port of entry and ask for asylum. Regardless of the outcome, they won’t be separated.
Option 2: Cross the border illegally and be caught. That is a criminal act that will be prosecuted with 0 tolerance. The adults will be detained and processed as the criminals that they are. As with any criminal, they will be separated from their children.
It really is the choice of the parents. If despite all of the warnings, they still choose option 2, then they will be separated. I have no compassion for someone who would intentionally put their children at risk by knowingly breaking the law.
Sounds to me like you don’t believe a country should be able to choose where their capital will be located??? Is that what you are saying, that Israel shouldn’t be allowed to call Jerusalem their capital?
Smyrna said that we need to get our own house (America) in order first. If we are to follow that premise, lets stop sending money to other countries. I don’t care about Israel at all. I don’t care what any country outside the US does with their capital. Lets get our affairs in order.
