Well not every Conservative.

No, that’s trolling us. Just like the left, telling us to do that which they’re unwilling to do themselves.

Interesting use of language. There is no taking over, if Ukraine freely decides to join NATO because they fear Russian agression. And their fears were clearly warranted.

I bet every country next to Russia that isn’t part of NATO and isn’t a puppet state(Belarus) is seriously considering joining.

This has been the biggest advertisement for NATO Putin could have given them. Join NATO or risk Russian agression.

I’m forced to assume this is a joke I don’t get, as you personally were horrified when Obama tried to end the Cuban embargo and cheered when Trump went back to the old Cold War policy.

Well we can all see who the hardliners are…and it’s not just one party.

I’m forced to assume this went right over your head. EU has laid embargoes on Russia, correct?

Don’t you think it’s a little hypocritical to tell another country to end their embargoes while they are imposing them on their problem country?

If it’s not true, it’s a lie. That’s not a “false flag.”

It might be, if you could stop it.

If you keep doing this, the word “trolling” is going to lose all meaning.

I’m sure you’ll be able to successfully remind us of exactly what it is.

Well most of the Eastern bloc is part of NATO. Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova are not. Belarus might as well be a Russian state as their leadership is owned by the Russians and the Russian military is there in droves. I have no idea about Moldova.

But Russia wants to take Ukraine before it is part of NATO and we are forced to defend it. After that it will get far trickier for Russia to take more territory as the Eastern bloc is firmly NATO.

This is a better visual of Europe as a whole.

The point is, I shouldn’t have to.

Putin is now saying Ukraine is historically part of Russia. Goodby Ukraine. Goodby former Soviet states. Only our nuclear weapons keeps Putin from announcing that Alaska was historically part of Russia.

Yes, or at least take back the southeastern provinces.

He has been saying that from the first day he became President.

He has also said much the same about Alaska … claiming real estate fraud or some such nonsense. But he can’t just waltz into Alaska with tanks and mechanized troops like he can Ukraine.

Yes to the first. The other is a whole other ballgame. Everywhere else is part of the NATO pact. That would be a hell of a gamble to attack a NATO backed country.

Until recently thats all I thought he’d take. Ive changed my mind. I’m almost certain he is going for the whole enchilada.

Maybe. There’s a difference between saying that as a general principle and saying that when you have Ukraine surrounded with tanks and you have just declared the independence of part of another country.
Lesson: Never give up your nuclear weapons.
