Republicans only do things that help America. Democrats want America to fail, so their agenda needs to be defeated.
A zero sum transactional approach to foreign policy, where every other country is “equivalent”, is short-sighted in the extreme.

Notice the word “or” in the definition? One is not necessarily the other, hence the word or. Now it was a choice by the dishonest media to use the other definition which is NOT what he said.

i would argue that putting America First includes having strong allies. we want counties in the EU working with us on a ton of stuff. if i’m them, and he trashed me over and over, i’d simply tell my intelligence community to cut us off. then we’d retaliate then both sides would realize we need each other.
Trump just likes to create chaos. i’ll be glad when the logical military/intelligence people get more say so again.

The coomon deniminator is it shows the very short-sighted worldview of the President of the United States that is so against our strategic interests it’s not even funny.

That’s not the point I was getting at. Here’s the CNN story about the same thing, which does not use the word “enemy.” Maybe you can help me understand why CNN is fake news and Fox is not?
