The constitution makes no such split, it simply prevents the gov’t from making laws specific to any religious establishment.
If my neighbors can take my money and give it to a church for their schooling, I would vote to abolish public funding of education. I can pay my own way thank you. I don’t need to fund your belief system.
Luckily for me. My state bans ALL funding for non-public education. A private school is private. Although, Republicans here are saying that this ruling would overturn it. I believe they are just wishing for a broad ruling that makes vouchers go national.
Vouchers are working everywhere they are tried and in some states that includes church run schools.
The constitution strictly forbids discrimination based on religion.
