You are talking to someone who hasn’t had a kid in school in a while, I bet.
We can make this type of request through PowerSchool or ClassDojo
Works for my school.
Have you ever used either app?
Zero snark here, your kids school has this system?
I assume it puts a notice attached to a kid’s ID so when they scan to check out it alerts the Librarian?
What would happen if a majority of parents select the same title, does the library pull it?

There are fora where parents can input on books that are on the school library system.
I’m not a fan of pulling books in general, though.
Especially in today’s charged environment.
Disclaimer…I don’t have kids in school anymore either but just ran for school board and have been active in the schools for years.
Yes, implemented in 2019
Right now you submit a form via PowerSchool. It’s limited to sections or genre of books for now. For example my daughter is at a 6th grade reading level, so I had to sign a form to allow her complete access to that level of books. If I want some access, I could only limit sections, not specific books.
That form get applied to their student id, when they try to check out a book that isn’t allowed, it flags.
Apparently they are trying to do it book by book. But it’s been two years and nothing yet.

Are you talking a out this:
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife donated $350 million to the Center for Tech and Civic Life, a nonprofit that works to make elections more inclusive and secure. Officials with the nonprofit declined interview requests, so it’s difficult to determine how the money was spent. But a review of more than 30 grant agreements and interviews with more than 20 election directors show it was used on everything from voter outreach to food. Bulloch County, Ga., budget officer Peyton Fuller says they used the money to buy extension cords to space out voting machines.
This is the charity they gave to:
Doing a bit more research on your “understanding”…you have fallen for yet another conspiracy. No laws were broken. According to the judges that ruled on it. Now, if one read the article the Federalist put out, I can see how you can think that way. I will go with the local news report, vs a biased activist web site.
“This so-called report from Michael Gableman rehashes many of the arguments made in more than a dozen frivolous lawsuits filed to smear the CTCL COVID-19 Response Grants program,” the Center for Tech and Civic Life said Wednesday in a response to NBC15 News.
The CTCL pointed to those multiple lawsuits challenging the awards and noted that “conservative, liberal, and two Republican-appointed Supreme Court Justices” rejected the arguments. One of the judges, it added, dubbed the claims a “conspiracy theory.” U.S. District Judge William Griesbach, who was appointed by President George W. Bush, refused to block the grant money in October 2020 under a lawsuit filed by Kaardal on behalf of the Wisconsin Voters Alliance, in conjunction with the conservative Thomas Moore Society.

Sigh…you go with the conspiracy theory propaganda source…I will stick with the local news reporting, that does not have an agenda.
You are being lied to, but the lies tell you what you want…no, need to believe.
Eyes Wide Shut.
I believe the judges that ruled in these cases, vs a RW hack rag.
What stops them sitting down in the library and reading the vetoed book without taking it out?
Nothing.
What is stopping them from reading the book at a friends house? Nothing as well.

I seriously question parents who feel the need to control what their kid reads.
The parents that fear their kids being “indoctrinated”…is it because that’s how they view their kids?
As programmable robots? For THEM to indoctrinate?
I never worried about what my kids read.
I taught them to think and I taught them they could come to me or their mother with any questions they might have.
When parents today say “parental rights”, I hear “complete parental control and ownership”.
I sense fear…fear the child may actually…gasp…form their own identity and have their own beliefs.
If that’s what you want…complete control…home school your children.
It’s not that hard.

I have a feeling your definition of porn stories and mine differ.
And I probably read my first porn story when I was 9.
No apparent damage!
