Whooooops . . . . . so a long standing policy of allowing travel other than coad (that would be business and/or first class, and it might have been approved by the acting controller.

Sounds like its time to change the long standing policy and put in policy when and under what conditions employee’s of the department can fly other than coach.

You know policies need to be updated, and the agency saying LONG STANDING polic allowed non coach airfair if approved?

My opinion is, time for an update in policy the specific examples of when accomidations can be bumped up to non coach. Or better yet, have congress pass something that covers all departments – including congress – when taxpayer money is spent for air line tickets.
