I’m not attacking you. I addressed the argument as phony.
You are not your argument.

No one had to lose any pay. They could sit in the back of the hall and play on their smartphones if they weren’t interested in the speech. It’s an easy payday.

Union guy here.
Yes, my company can do this to me to, if they wish.
In our contract, it’s called a temporary reporting location.
If you don’t want to show, call out a vacation day or choose not to get paid.

It wasn’t a rally. Pretty much ANYTIME a President speaks for someone it’s political.

Were those employees forced to attend or lose pay?

Couple of them look like they would be union shops.

Is all this shocking news to anyones beliefs? When large numbers of union workers gather to listen to some speaker selected by the company was every poster complaining about this incident thinking “Gee, its wonderful the way all those union workers are so eager to go out and listen to that guy?”

Content of the speech. Trump treated it like a rally.
Did anyone not get paid? Presidents visit facilities all the time. Apples and oranges.
They were told how to behave… that would have been disrespectful.

You seem to have missed the context of the post to which you were replying.
You had tried to broadbrush every speech made by Trump as potentially having been paid for. The response was basically as to trying to compare a rally where the general public pays to enter to a speech held by a company/union where people are paid if they attend.
“No, you cannot question the basis for Trump’s large crowds based on the unique circumstances of this speech”…would be the proper response.

So what dude? What difference does it make? Every politician treats everything like a rally. Move the needle.
