Strict constructionists ought to be happy with that because to a person those appointees were saying “It’s not our job to clean up your messes, other two branches of government. You want Obamacare gone, do it yourself (and take your political lumps)”

Trump was just the most recent president to take futher steps down the road to authoritarianism.
People want to have a wise monarch. In Washington. (Note that people are expecting COVID mask orders from DC, not mask standards set by the CDC)
There is no party that is more authoritarian than the other. Both R’s and D’s want DC (particularly the president) to take charge and make things right.

Because in liberalism you have a choice; and you will choose incorrectly because you don’t comprehend.
And right now, you are focused on the “few” which have been elected and reelected and are growing. That is a mistake.
“Social” Justice. “Justice” Democrats. Critical “Justice” Theory.
It is aimed at every aspect of society. In some areas it has advanced ahead of others. Being elected to national office is a lagging indicator of popularity.
Look at what the movements have already achieved.
They are waxing, not waning. The picture on the outside of the box is beautiful. The contents don’t match.
For them to win, you have to lose.
