Nope didn’t miss it. Link to in any other part of debate you were talking about the 45 day continuation! By the way if you want to use The vote on 45 continuation, it completely destroys your argument about GOP comprise.

When she was leader?

Not every unfinished bipartisan priority made it into the package. In order to retain some Republican support, lawmakers dropped proposals that would have changed the tax code, including a revival of expanded monthly payments to most families with children, as well as bipartisan marijuana banking legislation, an effort to address the limit on the nation’s borrowing cap and a proposal that would have given Afghan refugees a direct path to legal immigration status.

Nah it reinforce my point completely. The bill was passed with bipartisan support…why did they wait so long? Why didn’t they do something like that before the GOP decided to go on a 6 week vacation.
The fact that it was approved just shows how much the GOP leadership of the house is and has failed at the basic job

And yet you cannot , for some reason, seem to be able to place any blame at their feet…it’s all libs libs libs.

Oh look…more vacation…

Oh? How do you figure 6 months?

Weird argument Samm.

So the result of this is, your party has control of the house, can’t seat a permeant speaker, and the guy that is now the pro temp speakers first action is kicking nancy pelosi out of her office while she is at the funeral of Diane Feinstein, her close friend, and the longest serving member in the house.

Congratulations?

This, after the first action of the speaker pro temp was to evict nancy from her office while she’s at feinsteins funeral.

I’m sure that’s the libs fault too.

Well, you certainly have a memory problem, don’t you. :smirk:

It’s not an argument. It’s how it works. Short term hiccups in the economy are soon over and forgotten with no measurable detriment. What’s weird is that you are treating a potential government shutdown as a serious issue.

It is for those directly impacted by it through no fault of their own.

Just stop. That was a given at the beginning of this conversation. My position is about the national economy, not individuals. Thousands of individuals win and lose every day regardless of what is going on in Washington.

OK my bad. I missed that.
Carry on.

The last shut down cost the nation wide economy 11B in activity.

There isn’t anything else to say about this.

Exactly. So why all the weeping and wailing about a minority voting against the will of the majority?

You are a broken record. Short term losses tnt … short term. Within a matter of weeks, the economy never knew it happened.

No, that’s not true. As has been discussed, tourism and many items of discretionary spending can’t be recouped. Those sales are lost. If you cancel your kid’s spring break trip, you can’t take two the following year to make up for it.

I just can’t imagine why you want to die on this stupid hill.

Govt. shut downs cost us money. Real money a lot of which can’t be recouped when the shut down ends.

What the hell you babbling about?

Since you think it is cute to copy what I say. “A CR” was passed with bipartisanship", so your whole argument is wrong. Say that ten times and let it sink in. But continue with your child like stomping your feet “whaaa they should have done it sooner”.

One example of Dimwits giving up their vacation when they were in charge? But no they should not have gone on vacation.

Are you happy with your new temp speakers first actions with the gavel in hand?

I could care less. Her aids moved her out. Not like she was going to do it herself. But we see your need to whine.

It’s a petty waste of time.
