The venue was a gun free zone as well. Only a handful of armed cops on scene and none with scoped rifles.

That was my point. But in the other mass shootings, the guns used were within the zone, which demonstrated the absurdity of the designation “gun free zone.”

Trump on the other hand had clear precedent and statute supporting his declaration.

Violent crime rates have fallen by over half since they peaked in 97 so there is absolutely no justification for an emergency declaration.

There is plenty a president can do to slow the sales of firearms and ammunition without congress.

The President can only issue Executive Orders within the limits of existing law.

Colt doesn’t need to “tool up” anything. They already make the platform. The reason they are ignoring their customers (again) is nobody is buying them. The Triggered Pony is not worth a $500 premium to most people. A Colt AR is not a $2,000 gun nor will it ever be.
