What in the world are you talking about? How many people will die due to what who did? Pelosi? What do you think this bill is about exactly?
And you are aware it was passed yesterday, correct? And was sent to the Senate where McConnell sent all of the Senators home and adjourned the Chamber until Monday where that would be the soonest they would take up the legislation. You do get this right?
No there was not. And the bill was passed with huge bipartisan support. And now it sits languishing because of McConnell and Trump. I trust your anger is directed squarely at them, right?
A vote on a package of Democratic proposals, including emergency paid sick leave, enhanced unemployment benefits, and free coronavirus testing, was delayed while the negotiations went on.
Trump on Thursday objected to what he called Democratic “goodies” in the bill that House Democrats introduced late Wednesday. An administration official said the objections included increasing federal funding for Medicaid and changes that the White House said could provide money for abortions. Republicans in Congress had their own issues, including any step that would permanently mandate businesses provide paid sick leave.
In the press conference Trump was specifically asked about this bill.
After it had been shown the early GOP claims were completely baseless because the Dems had put provisions in the bill that any reimbursements would ONLY be COVID-19 related.
The bill passed with broad bipartisan backing last night. And now it is sitting on McConnell’s desk who decided to take an extended weekend and recessed the Senate, rather than take the passed legislation up and approve it in the Senate and send it to Trump for approval.
Do you seriously not know what is going on here? I mean, seriously? McConnell and Trump are the reason for the delay right now. Are you upset with them?
With schools, businesses and sports teams shutting down across the country, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the Senate will stay in session next week, rather than leaving Washington as previously planned, to take up any legislation that emerges from the negotiations.
Check it out for yourself if you don’t believe me or everyone else in the country accurately reporting that they are out of session until next week because of McConnell.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) was absent from negotiations on a coronavirus relief package, spending Friday in Kentucky at a judicial event with Supreme Court Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh.
As a pandemic sweeps the globe, creating economic and health care panic, McConnell shuttered the Senate for the weekend on Thursday
So are you rightfully pissed at McConnell? How about at Trump? He is literally doing nothing today. Has a completely empty schedule. And he has not said a single word about getting the Senate to act on the legislation the Pelosi-led House passed last night in sweeping bipartisan fashion.
The House of Representatives passed a bipartisan legislative package in response to the spread of coronavirus in the early hours of Saturday morning following intense negotiations between House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Trump administration.
