Elizabeth Warren’s latest rope-a-dope con . . . student loan forgiveness

See: Elizabeth Warren’s student loan forgiveness plan: Could it super-charge the economy?

April 22, 2019

”Senator Elizabeth Warren on Monday issued a plan to forgive student debt for college grads, arguing that forgiving up to $50,000 of debt for more than 42 million Americans would "provide an enormous middle-class stimulus that will boost economic growth, increase home purchases, and fuel a new wave of small business formation."

First of all, Elizabeth Warren’s nitwit thinking, that forgiving student loans would give a boost to the United States’ economic growth, suggests new money will be introduced into the economy allowing an increase in purchases made by students. But, the fact is, forgiving the $1.46 trillion dollar student loan debt merely moves that money from one column to another and shifts this burden onto American taxpayers, who will have to make up that lost revenue, and reduces their available spending by the $1.46 trillion dollars in question.

But aside from that, Elizabeth Warren, AKA "Pocahontas" because she lied about her heritage to get special treatment, would knowingly and willingly slap the face of all those students who worked their way through college, have no student loan debt, and would be taxed for Warren’s latest hair brain and socialist idea.

JWK

The unavoidable truth is, the Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s socialist plan for “free” college tuition will be paid for by taxing millions of college graduates who worked for and paid their own way through college and are now trying to finance their own economic needs.

Oh, so NOW you care about the American taxpayer?

Student loans are out of control. Kids come out of college oweing a mortgage payment every month. Some of these schools basicalky prey on these people because they are guarenteed payment through garnishing if wages and tax refunds. Im not saying people should get off scott free but charging 7 percent intrest iver a lifetime kills these kids. I think stufent lians should be capped at 1 maybe 1.5 percent or even 0 percent.

Gee, the govt takes over student loans and they get real expensive… Perhaps there’s a lesson there.

And the dem head of the banking committee did not even know the fed govt took over student loans.

She has no chance right now it’s Bernies to lose, and it’s hard to try and position to the left of Sanders.

Elizabeth Warren reminds me of a kindergarten teacher.

She isn’t relevant, has no shot at much of anything and is just pandering.

I’m not even sure who would take her seriously.

Nothing is lost by anyone when debt is canceled.

Someone is going to eat that loss.

How you figure that?

The real question is how expensive is college going to be once government guarantees free college for all? If or when that ever happens these greedy institutions are going to find so many ways to jack costs that average cost per student at public institutions will likely be double what it will be for most private colleges!

So you think money appears out of thin air?

True - it does lack the sophistication of the promise of a wall, special prosecutor, repeal and replace, and the elimination of the debt. But then anyone seeking Donald’s throne has to crawl before they can walk when it comes to bull ■■■■ promises.

Worse is how much they would have to dumb college down so anyone could pass.

As a person who would actually greatly benefit from this idea, i think it is really just a pipe dream. First off all it would never pass congress much less a presidential signature.

Secondly it doesnt address the underlying issues of which there are many.

Said plan doesnt endear me to Warren in anyway, and she wouldn’t have been my 1st, 2nd, or any other choice to begin with.

She is not really electable, so not worth discussing too much.

student loan debt is already paid for by the taxpayers or do people who attend college not pay taxes?

Ya no one cares about issues facing 30 year olds we are not a big voting pool.

We all know who Elizabeth Warren is. This post becomes disrespectful and childish when the poster stoops to calling her Trump nicknames in your posts.

It should be enough for supporters that Trump calls people names. I can’t understand why we think as posters we score intelligence points by stooping to Trump’s level.

Couldnt agree more.

Not big enough frankly. The 20 some crowd doesnt exactly think about college debt because a lot of them at least in the mid to early half havent entered repayment much less take on all the other real debt to live on their own.

The 30s at least the early half generally still dont take a general interest in politics at any level. It isnt until you get into your late 3ps that most Americans start paying real attention, and even then it isnt a big portion as a %.

Thats the horrible thing about our toxic politics here. Lots of peolple want no part of it by those ages and they havent really even engaged by that point.

How will our country ever survive if our children aren’t 10-100k+ in debt after trying to get an education?
