Lol you’re not wrong.
I’m a millennial but I learned really early on my granddad’s old 87 Toyota with a 4-speed. I was like ten or so. Ever since I’ve had nothing but love for manuals, although I have owned two automatics. A Nissan Frontier and a Lincoln Towncar. Everything else has been a manual.

Model S P100D freakishly quick. Not since days of flying planes with afterburner have I felt a kick like that. First couple of times getting on it had to let off. Drive around in old man mode most of time unless some kid comes up with his car all cocky. Do miss the sound of a good V8 though.

There’s a app for that.
No seriously.
You’ve probably got a choice of apps.
The sound of a v8 engine.

I will check that out. I always thought someone should build one. I wonder if I have to have a newer model with the outside sound. Thanks
It plays through the sterio

The Mustang MachE built that sound into their software as a driving option. People can hear it outside the car.
I test drove the MachE. Ford did a good job with their first foray into the market.
Their frunk has drain holes…perfect for tailgate parties…I mean…head gate parties?

I wonder if it will play the ride of the valkyries or, maybe even better for stop and go traffic, the violin chord in minor used in Psycho.

That’s good. But then, you probably wouldn’t be out stealing cars anyway.

I used to have one of those things that were supposed to make my 4 cylinder Mazda truck sound like it had a V-8 … plugged into the cigarette lighter receptacle and played through the radio. It didn’t work worth a damn.

Nope. With the majority of the roads in the United States made with a petroleum product, we will have need of fossil fuels for awhile, just not used as fuel.
One of the best things about electric vehicles is that they run nearly silent.
That could be a big advantage in certain situations where stealth is required.
Has a lot of downsides, though. The range won’t be good. Once it’s discharged it’s down for at least an hour. Recharging in the field would be nigh impossible.
I think it could be a good small transport for guys like DEVGRU or Delta who need to remain silent on missions and need exfil in a hurry.
For general purpose use, it has way too many compromises.
IMO, the Volt power train makes a lot more sense for a vehicle like this. Dual power, gas and electric. It could run on gasoline for the long drives and to ensure it has enough range to exfil and could switch to electric power when stealth is required.
Battlefield don’t come with plug stations the way a single hummer can be loaded down with jerry cans in a pinch.

That’s the main problem with it.
I think it could have a role to play in very specific circumstances.
But for general use, it’s way too compromised.
