Battery Electric Vehicle. It was in the CJT tainted science link above.
I’m starting to get it. There are some things I don’t get.
For one I’m not sure we are producing enough electricity for what the need will be, but ok.
What fuel are we using to produce that electricity? Isn’t 40% of the electricity in the US generated using coal?
And now we’re going to add the mining of battery materials?
It seems that when people extol the virtues of BEVs, they kind of turn a blind eye to behind the curtain of electrical power generation.

I’m impressed, although I don’t care much for science fiction.
Perhaps you could explain that a little? It looks like an off topic posting of a cartoon.

I don’t appreciate how y’all are ignoring what John Kerry admitted.

My BIL just bought one that is also autonomous. Honestly, I’m a little jealous, given my daily commute.
Battery energy vehicle.
Hybrids are best. Less resource intensive to make. Gas has tremendous energy density, is easy to transport and store.
Since they won’t let you buy or sell hydrogen anhydride hydrogen powered is mostly off the table.
It’s only manageable or workable if they can build on capable of long trips and speeds of 80 to 90 mph. Range needs to be at least 800 miles on a charge.
It came up because of the mention of sociology. Threads from a sociology perspective are sometimes like conversations at the end of a seminar where everyone is milling about talking because the big boss is still in the room and no one is leaving. So randomness is bound to happen.
I’m pretty random.
Well, Okay, how about as an originalist I’m the control group?

I offer that sociology is the most practically important science of them all.

I did. “His” conclusion. Your article was written by one person.

But it’s not. Natural gas is a carbon fuel.

And I offer that it’s far too often a self serving steaming pile for whoever is funding or doing the “research”. That alone would not be terribly bad except that it’s so squishy a “science” that it can be very difficult to tell steaming piles from the rest.

There is of course, abuse. Due at least in part to its importance. It is the key to transformation.

Yep…I checked them out and came to same conclusion.
Lot of thing factoring into the article they left out…just like batteries. That’s assuming the battery lasts the life of vehicle…which we all know they don’t…and they’re not factoring in the waste of deposing the battery of the waste in refining the chemicals to purify the battery materials.
And most of all…that article clearly shows they have agenda.
Good rebuttal.

Wow…having a rebuttal to counter ones argument seems to offend certain individuals…interesting response.

You asked what the conclusion of the article was. Why are you asking?
I know. I believe natural gas is a great fuel for electricity generation.

Precisely…and odd thing they’re not realizing their is profit to be made that’s worth trillions of dollars taxing greenhouse emissions as it exchange hands. They want it as a new source of currency.
