Electric Cars are coming- no need to drill in Alaska

Reduced consumption is not the goal, political power is.

It’s my understanding that the cargo on this ship is going to be a major, environmental disaster.

Only if they let it wash ashore. If they sink it in the Aleutian Trench, at 25,000 feet down it won’t hurt anything. And then in a few hundred years, it will be subducted into the mantle.

I hope you’re right and this all goes well.

That was an interesting watch

The container ship Wan Hai 503 is on fire off the coast of India after an explosion. Of the 22 crew members, 18 escaped. The fire was raging the last time I checked.

I’m not sure what the Morning Midas looks like now. Is it still on fire?

Trust me. It will only be a disaster if they let it get near shore. That is some seriously deep water off the Aleutian Islands.

It will have to sink on its own, because I’m hearing they are going to try to salvage it. They sent one tug already, more help will be on the way.

At the moment it is smoldering. No visible flames but it’s smoking pretty good, and a long slick is visible. Not a good sign. It may sink. I think they said there was 4800 vehicles on that ship.

Another down side to driverless technology.

USAID money feeds on them.
