Drones over New Jersey…FBI investigating

I could see a country doing this with unmarked drones hoping to gauge the response and check US anti drone defenses.

Madness???

Someone occupies a common area, causes concerns or at least curiousity and instead of coming forward and easing people’s anxiety they stay quiet and probably laugh like you just did.

Yep…shoot them down !!

Does everyone believe Trump?

Yep … we know that now.

So the question now is why was it kept from the public before?

Is this a satisfying answer? The FAA approved some research? What kind of research needs drones flying all over the state?

Is there more to this answer that I haven’t read?

Only if you want there to be.

There is an FAA approved project going on up here flying drones all over the State testing flying them remotely out of visual range. The goal is to use them for non-passenger transportation to sites that are well out of visual range of ground-based observers. Up here though, the airspace is wide open. New Jersey would be a good place to see if that is practical in congested areas as well.

Was this part of the “one-way drone” testing maybe??

Tangent:

My local community (Capy May Campus of Atlantic Cape CC)
has one of the nation’s premier drone pilot training programs.

It’s been around for a few years and is mostly big kids with big whirly toys learning howtotake aerial photos.
