You had me until blaming the media. We know it’s low hanging fruit, and we know the truth of the old adage, ‘if it bleeds, it leads’. But I find media blaming far too simple and convenient an explanation. It prevents the very, very hard work of introspection when one asks self, ‘what false beliefs do I carry and carry out every day?’. As long as the media is a commercial enterprise, it will seek attention by inflating, distorting; sometimes subtly sometimes grossly. It rests with the individual to seek the facts they need. They’re there.

John just give it up. You’ve dug this whole so deep you’ll never see daylight again.

You’re also wrong. Every human who isn’t immune is a potential carrier.

Interventional Epidemiology isn’t about individual patients or even risk groups, it’s about stopping the spread of the disease period.

I’m confused when you say “blaming the media”, when in fact I was specific in what I wrote and was referring to an identifiable segment of our “media”, and its actions which instilled fear and hysteria across the United States.

Our country is infested with a Fifth Column movement at MSNBC, NEW YORK TIMES, CNN, WASHINGTON POST, ATLANTIC MAGAZINE, New York Daily News, Time, ETC., and their countless Yellow Journalists, who work hand in hand with the Democrat Party socialist/communist leadership to undermine and destroy our free market, free enterprise system.

My goodness. When will you stop beating a dead horse and respond to what I actually have written? I thought we were past your description of what Fauci’s job is.

Let us work to adopt a logical, common sense approach, to deal with COVID-19.

Fact 1: The overwhelming majority of people do not have any significant risk of dying from COVID-19.

Fact 2: Protecting older, at-risk people eliminates hospital overcrowding.

Fact 3: Vital population immunity is prevented by total isolation policies, prolonging the problem.

Fact 4: People are dying because other medical care is not getting done due to hypothetical projections.

Fact 5: We have a clearly defined population at risk who can be protected with targeted measures.

Hmmm. The crickets seem to dominate when facts are relied upon rather than emotion.

How many billions of dollars in the long term, will communist/socialist New York and New Jersey save in healthcare costs, from the untimely deaths of the elderly, especially those in nursing homes, who unnecessarily fell victim to the Coronavirus?

I think all the bureaucrat advisors who did not highlight as imperative to protect the demographics that were obviously most at risk, but targeted everyone and crushed economies, should be demoted and replaced with people who were early on warning of the now evident consequences of that crap advice… starting with Fauci.

Apparently Fauci has now seen the light on shut downs

Perhaps Dr. Fauci is strictly one symptom of a problem with western medicine—it doesn’t really treat the whole patient, strictly symptoms. One doctor, for instance, may look at a patient with multiple sclerosis and say due to fatigue, vision that merits strictly a daylight driver’s license, other symptoms as well, disability and not working is the route to take.

They’re not seeing boredom, lowered morale, maybe even how long it takes to get that first disability payment affecting the whole patient. They’re looking at particular symptoms (two MS patients I’ve known were the examples).

Dr. Fauci was consulted to look at stopping the spread of a particular virus. It appears from the post above he’s realized how narrow his thinking was & is seeing the harm of extending shut down

DOs, I have seen, tend to be more holistic in their approach to medicine. They also learn the techniques of OMM. The problem is we see MD as a more marketable degree when MDs and DOs, are, in most aspects, on a level playing field in regards to competency.

There is something very suspicious about Fauci’s advice, and even more suspicious when we consider our Fifth Column Media embraced Fauci’s illogical approach, and the fear and hysteria he created when subtilty attacking by innuendo anyone who dared to question his irrational advice.

If the object was to limit the death rate from the virus, and it was known almost from the beginning that the vast majority of deaths due to COVID-19 were among the elderly, and more specifically, those with underlying medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, chronic lung disease, etc., the obvious course of action was to focus on and protect the susceptible group while allowing the rest of our nation’s population to go about its business. Instead, Fauci constantly focused on the increase in the number of reported cases instead of the death rate being among an identifiable group which ought to have been the focus, and how to protect them.

In any event, has our Fifth Column media and Fauci changed their tune and embraced common sense and a rational approach as determined from the facts?

Dr. Birx now admits what thinking people knew almost from the beginning, but ignored when recommending a shelter in place and shutdown of American’s economy.

See: Places of worship ‘may not be safe’ for some, Birx says

05/24/2020

”Places of worship “may not be safe for those with preexisting conditions” despite orders from President Donald Trump that they be allowed to reopen immediately, White House coronavirus coordinator Deborah Birx said Sunday.”

“Although it may be safe for some to go to churches and social distance, it may not be safe for those with preexisting conditions,” Birx told Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday.” “That’s why in ‘phase one’ and ‘phase two,’ we’ve asked for those individuals with vulnerabilities to really ensure that they are protected and sheltering in place while we open up America.”

Well, isn’t this peachy? Now that thinking Americans across the country have figured out those most susceptible to the deadly effect of the virus is limited to an identifiable segment of the population and are protesting the suicidal approach first recommended by Dr. Birx and her sidekick Fauci, Birx now tells us that those individuals with vulnerabilities should be protected and should be the group that shelters “in place while we open up America."

The problem is, the advice these two have given us has already led to unnecessary and untold deaths in the United States, and irreparable damage to our economy. But, instead of admitting they offered an irrational and suicidal approach to deal with the virus at the beginning, they now pretend nothing has happened on their behalf and continue to project themselves as our saviors.

These two monsters need to hide their faces in shame and ask for forgiveness for the suicidal path they recommended from the beginning.

Quit while you are ahead.

In other words - Shut up, we don’t have an argument to counter that. And that will become more and more obvious if you keep on pointing this out and we are forced to make up nonsense to appear to have a defence.

Nope.

In mid-March we were led to believe that the death rate from COVID-19 would reach 2.2 million. See: COVID-19 predicted to infect 81% of U.S. population, cause 2.2 million deaths in U.S.

The fear and hysteria caused by this projection led to an illogical and irrational lockdown of the United States economy, which in itself created countless and untold deaths and destruction.

And now we find out The CDC’s New ‘Best Estimate’ Implies a COVID-19 Infection Fatality Rate Below 0.3%

That rate is much lower than the numbers used in the horrifying projections that shaped the government response to the epidemic.

What is astounding to know is in 1918, “Generally speaking, the fatality rate for the Spanish flu is calculated at about 2%” LINK far worse than today’s COVID-19 which is below 0.3%

So why are our Blue State Communist/Socialist leaders so bent on not fully opening their state economies? Seems to me they are causing more incidental deaths [suicides, drug overdoses, missed medical procedures and cancer mammograms, etc.], which are in addition to deaths caused by COVID-19. Why do these communist/socialist leaders continue to create fear and hysteria in their states?

2.2 million in the absence of lockdown measures.

So, you really have nothing productive to contribute to the thread. Do you?

New York had a lockdown and look at its Nursing Home deaths!

SEE: Blame governors for the coronavirus deaths in nursing homes: Goodwin

May 16, 2020

The Times found 14 states where more than half of total deaths occurred in facilities for the elderly. It was 55 percent in Connecticut, 57 percent in Colorado, North Carolina and Kentucky, 58 percent in Virginia, 59 percent in Massachusetts, 61 percent in Delaware, 66 percent in Pennsylvania, 73 percent in Rhode Island and 80 percent in West Virginia and Minnesota.

The states with the most nursing-home deaths, New York and New Jersey, didn’t make the list because of so many other deaths, yet more than 10,000 people died in their facilities. The 5,500 nursing-home deaths in New York are more than the total deaths in all other states except New Jersey.

Are mammograms not being performed at all? Appears from the above that some facilities have remained open. For most patients, delaying a yearly screening by a few months doesn’t have dire consequences

Am rather cynical about this particular exam. Most “suspicious mammograms”, around 98%, yielded no cancer, so, while not a supporter of government officials and this you don’t need that idea that’s taking over, for most patients, delaying this procedure shouldn’t be lethal

I do believe, though, that state forced shutdowns have harmed more than helped and should never have been even considered, much less instituted.

The 5,500 in NY is under-reported, because if they got them to a hospital and kept them alive for ten minutes, they became hospital deaths.
