I feel terrible. I had the flu. And then I discovered I had a secondary, bacterial infection in my lungs, probably pneumonia. I’m still coughing and feeling terrible. I’ll come back and comment in the morning.
Thus, I’m going to bed and not wanting to babysit the thread. Wake me up when September ends.
It has always been a weird thing for a lot of conservatives(not all but a lot, especially pundits) where they spend so much time talking about how celebrities shouldn’t be involved in politics or if they are people shouldn’t listen. Was it Ingraham’s book “Shut Up and Sing”? Whoever it was I always thought it would be funny if someone told her to shut up and…wait what is it you actually do? But once they find a celebrity they agree with they are a hero and are covered a lot. Because you know, they’re real American celebrities. It’s weird.
Ted’s a little out there but he is a wildlife conservationist and founded with his wife The Freedom’s Angels Foundation that supports US troops.
The Kid? A lot of people don’t know about his support of:
Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
EasterSeals.
Habitat For Humanity.
Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
Muscular Dystrophy Association
They’re outspoken. So? The 1A is still part of the US Constitution. Green Day doing whatever it is they do is their right as well. Some will nod in agreement some won’t. Again, so?
Green Day wrote American Idiot about Dubya, they haven’t changed their positions in 30 years. Listen to the lyrics, they’re quite explicit in their opinions, even with the adding MAGA references.
I think she said “Shut up and dribble” with regard to Lebron James and his politics, right ?
While I agree that nobody should take that much stock in opinions of a basketball star about subjects that aren’t basketball, he has a right to an opinion.
I don’t recall many conservatives in 2008 telling the Joe the Plumber to “shut up and unclog my toilet”.
