And democrats would have been cheering Obama on.

Defunding the post office to reduce the ability to vote absentee is not corrupt?

The root cause behind a lot of this is this paragraph in the NPR story:

An NPR analysis has found that in the primary elections held so far this year, at least 65,000 absentee or mail-in ballots have been rejected because they arrived past the deadline, often through no fault of the voter.

So obviously the solution is to not shore up the Postal Service.

As for some of the other things- mistakes on the ballot, no signatures, etc- that’s evidence the mail in process…you know…WORKS!

Not funding states and cities that have blatantly mismanaged their finances and expecting all the people not living in their areas to bail them out and including that in this funding bill is what’s corrupt…amirite? :sunglasses:

The reality is 30+ states have mail in voting. It’s a legitimate way to vote.

And the logic being used to address its issues is the logic I quoted earlier…

In a precinct, all but one of the voting machines is broken. According to those who don’t like mail in voting, the solution here is to do nothing- one of the machines works, so voters still have a voting option.

I think those states might want to start withholding funding from the federal government. Most of them are donor states that fund people that obviously hate them, but I don’t know what your comment has to do with the topic.

This is also a very strange argument to make in the face of a for real depression looming over the country.

For some reason, making the argument that supposed poor mismanagement of funds that find a sudden a large budget shortfall because of a global pandemic is not worthy of plugging holes in budgets that if left unaddressed will 100% make an economic collapse worse and longer.

It is like collapsing the economy is a desired outcome or something.

Son…you’re talking to a brick wall. No matter how you attempt to regurgibleet this, those in power will use this for corrupt purposes…period. Now I understand that and maybe you truly don’t but…that’s why I’m here. I luv u. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Like Trump?

Who are “those in power”?

I hear ya…and yet…that’s the dumb ass gameplan response for fighting corona. :sunglasses:

The establishment is on both sides of the aisle and want our country to turn back to their idea of normal. Trump’s apolitical style is killing them and hence…you have the Pelosi gang and the Lincoln project both attempting to achieve the same goal.

A better game plan would have been in the interim of the shut down to formulate a national response of testing and tracing in order to track the spread of the virus and isolate the infected while the rest of the country practices good hygiene, masking, and social distancing to drive the r value below 1.

But we can’t have nice things.

Yeah…install a microchip. That’s the answer. :sunglasses:

Alrighty guys…I’ve gotta run and go stimulate the American economy but…the great news is…it’s Friday. I hope everyone has a great one. :sunglasses:

Ironically, you Libs won’t read actual rioters the riot act…

It’s the crazy… that’s why we can’t have nice things.

People who are destroying property should be arrested and prosecuted.

If democrats clsimed that universal voting required elections on the moon and Trump refused to sign the funding bill, he would say the say thing… “they just can’t have it”. That is just a statement of fact and in no way indicates Trump’s intentions of ruining a fair election. Dems don’t get to make ridiculous demands and then call them essential to a fair election.

Any yet they’re not… As a matter of fact they’re being supported and encouraged by Lib governors, mayor’s and DAs…But you already know this.
