JFK was an adulterer who also grabbed women by the crotch. He was an excellent President. One of my favorites. Bill Clinton was an adulterer who also grabbed women by the crotch. He was an okay president. Friends of yours have grabbed women by the crotch and bragged about it. But nobody ran to the newspapers. I want a President to help my country succeed. Trump has certainly done that.
Maybe nothing. I’m not going to research it. If you claim to be one of the few liberals here who claimed that Trump/Russia was a hoax, then I guess I’ll believe you.
that’s probably the exact justification that christians used while voting for Trump.
What revisionism are you talking about??? Nancy Pelosi introduced the plan in July 2009, it was voted on November 7th, 2009, with 219 Democrat votes and only one single solitary Republican vote in favor. It was voted in the Senate on December. 24th with 60 Democrats voting in favor, 39 Republicans voting against and 1 Republican abstaining.
By the time the bill was due be voted on in March 2010, Scott Brown of Massachusetts had replaced Paul Kirk, who was appointed to finish Ted Kennedy’s term. Brown was against Obamacare and since the Senate lost it’s 60 votes needed to pass the bill, The Democrat leader decided to use budget reconciliation, which only required 51 votes to get the bill to Obamas desk.
EVERY REPUBLICAN VOTED AGAINST IT! So stop with the bipartisan, compromise nonsense.
And no, no one had time to read it as Nancy said, " we have to pass it to see what’s in it."
Now- the 2500.00 of “savings”? I see, this is hypothetical money we all saved because we got to pay less less than we otherwise would have paid due to Obamacare. Right?? Since hypothetical money counts as actual money for Obamacare and doesn’t make Obama a liar, why doesn’t hypothetical money count when Trump said Mexico will pay for the wall because of all the money they will lose due to it’s construction??
The VA had the best satisfaction rate? The VA exemplified every problem government run healthcare has in every country it exists. Not enough doctors which results in a shortage of care, which resulted in the deaths of many. Cost was not the factor as it is with insurance plans. Lack of choice was a problem, lack of local availability was a problem, government inefficiency and apathy was the problem because that’s what monopolies produce. Lack of insurance was not the problem.

CaughtInTheMiddle:
Ah, so some of you guys just lived with the lie. And the adultering. And talking about grabbing women by the crotch.
I tried to tell people here that stuff like that didn’t matter to tons of republicans. They didn’t believe me for a long time.
Ah, so some of you guys just lived with the lies, the adultering, the talking and the putting of private parts in a young interns mouth and objects in her private parts, and multiple accusations of rape…
I tried to tell people here that stuff like that didn’t matter to tons of Democrats and I was right!! They elected him twice. ( I was talking about Bill Clinton just in case you were thinking Ted Kennedy. Wouldn’t want you to get your scumbags mixed up.)
Gee, this is a fun game.

I don’t know what you mean by hoax. I always maintained that it would be very surprising if Trump went so far as to coordinate with the Russians.
It had to be investigated and I’m glad it’s over.
I don’t really make predictions.
What do you suppose repealing Obamacare would do? Leave behind remnants?
Did it rise to the level of a lie? Even a campaign promise lie?
Your going with magical thinking. Good luck with that. The GOP had seven years to come up with a new plan.

Mountain_Soldier:
Parents lost theirs and ended up paying almost twice what they paid prior to the law being enacted, simply because their plan didn’t include maternity coverage. For my folks in their 50s. ■■■■ the Democrats that peddled and support this bull ■■■■■
And my parents were pretty moderate prior to Obamacare being passed. Not anymore. They completely blame the dems for it, and rightfully so.
My son stayed on my insurance instead of being kicked off like they were threatening because he cost too much money. We thank the dems for protecting him. He could not protect himself and they came through for him and us.
Your parents had to pay a higher price, but my son got to live. We thank the dems and will blame the GOP if the protection granted with the ACA will go away. We are not the only ones.

wonderingrover:
Has anyone seen this awesome new healthcare plan that Trump is going to send over to Congress for approval on day 1?
Oh, snap - I think he’s late…
No, but Mexico built a wall and the swamp was drained.
Oh wait, those were just promises that turned out to be lies.

This has always amazed me. Excusing support for an immoral, disgusting man by pointing to other people engaged in the same support of an immoral, disgusting man. And further, they have to go 2 decades into the past to make the comparison. All to excuse their own behavior. Weird.

Very good point. When I’d use that excuse growing up, my mother would say “if you saw 50 people jumping off a cliff, would you jump off the cliff?” It’s like they think this whataboutism excuses horrible behavior.

It’s not insurance if it covers a pre-existing condition, it’s charity.
Trump and company are gonna hurt a ton of middle class republicans (and their kids/grand kids) and this crop of republican voters are gonna continue to vote for them.
i guess, in 50 years, the grand kids get to look at each other and say “Yeah, our grandparents really did us wrong”.
The sad part in all this…it is all rooted and has it’s genesis with hatred toward President Obama. What is even more sad is that this current president and GOP has sided with corporations, sick people be damned. These sorry SOB’s had years to hash out a replacement and they have NOTHING, so ■■■■ it let’s get rid of it we’ll think of something later. However they won’t.
Some of you jokers, Don’t let you or any of your love ones have a major accident or sickness. God bless you if it does.

My family was insured before the ACA and they also know what disability insurance is. The ACA did nothing but cost us money.

Removing lifetime caps isn’t insurance.
It is charity.
20 million+ people say otherwise.
There are options, get a different plan, stop being lazy, do better.
