The outcomes are unequal because Republicans/Trump Supporters/conservatives/whatever have a much higher propensity for saying offensive things in the public square.

The push back is because they want to be able to say offensive things without consequences.

Was this guy selling his tweet and it wasn’t selling? What are you talking about? He was fired because what he said was offensive and made his employer look bad, the same way it is offensive when rappers use it and it makes their labels look bad. But you want one fired and not the others, double standard time.

If record labels think their artists are offensive, it is up to them keep or fire them.

One thing I think is consistent with businesses, they are primarily here to make money.
They will make their decisions based on that.

I’m curious what a “2nd chance” in this instance would look like. This guy has been a 1099 contractor taking pictures of the Rockets players for like 30 years. Now it’s known how he thinks about who he’s covering, who are predominantly very highly paid Black athletes who make even more than their owners.

And they’re going to put this guy back into that environment? Now the players have a legitimate hostile work environment complaint.
