There are many sects in most belief systems.
Take the different denominations of the Christian Faith. Then consider Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism.

We also have multiple political belief systems. One in particular is a champion of diversity, while they label their opponents racists.

Republicans are often divided and have multiple factions within their sect. They are accused of being divided.

The democratic sect, on the other hand is normally united. This is odd for a sect that promotes diversity. They are unified in their positions and argue about purity of the faith like ISIS.

Amongst all factions of all sects they are the most doctrinaire. The most unified, the least tolerant, the least diverse.

Hmmmmmmm.

lol, so you want examples of a person in the house being like a person in the Senate? First of all, Collins doesn’t buck ■■■■■ She votes GOP party line the overwhelming majority of the time. Second, Manchin, Heidkamp, Tester, Brown, Baldwin, Nelson all vote the GOP side of things as often as people like Collins vote the Dem side of things.

And Rand Paul is a self serving little ■■■■ who always comes back to the GOP fold except in cases where support for a bill is already so overwhelming that he can pretend to be a libertarian.

I did not mention house or senate did I? I mentioned people bucking their party, most votes today it seems go along party lines unless dissenters are given permission by leadership.

there is little independence in either party as the party controls fund raising, I think it is worse under Pelosi and Schumer than under McConnel and Ryan.

then there are the never trumpers in the republican party, not so much the never Obama on the left.

Most people believe that there is a growing schism in the Democrat party between the neo liberals of the Obama/Clinton strip and the Bernie Sanders-type socialist progressives represented mostly by younger people. I guess we’ll find out how deep the division is (or is it mostly media hype?) in the midterms.
