The Court has been careful in past cases to avoid stating, definitively, whether there is a constitutional right to “informational” privacy, or privacy generally.

I do think that Roe Vs Wade ensured all women had the choice.

Again…we don’t look at it as if a woman has a choice. We look at it as if government has a say. Fundamental difference in how we view it.

I cannot say you dont make a fair point. Something in my head is telling me thats it not as simple as that.

I admit I can see your point of view and can respect that.

Now this is why I like this place, good discussion like this that makes one think.

Abortion is now illegal in Texas after the US Supreme Court’s reversal of the landmark Roe v. Wade case triggered a pre-existing state law, Attorney General Ken Paxton announced.

Conservative Texan lawmakers are now looking for further ways to limit abortion access, including curbing out-of-state travel for the procedure. Fourteen Republican state representatives, led by Briscoe Cain, vowed to introduce bills in the next legislative session to penalize companies that help employees access abortions.

The proposals would bar such companies from doing business with the state and would also open corporate directors and officers up to criminal charges. The legislature convenes again in January. Cain made headlines in March when he warned Citigroup Inc. it could face criminal charges if it continued to fund employee out-of-state travel for abortions.

I know this ruling is about abortion but the Supreme Court has actually moved to codify a “two state solution” in America. This is when America officially splits into Red America and Blue America with few overarching principles governing the two nations. Its the national divorce.
