As usual, Trump* inherits immigration at third base and the herd of Independent thinkers claim he hit a home run. Amirite? Moobity moo moo moo.

How exactly would I as a common citizen of this country interfere with the government policies on the boarder?
I didn’t when Obama was president, or GWB, or Clinton.
The Mexicans are actually doing the job that the Democrats refuse to do.
Are the Dems embarrassed yet, NO they’re incapable of any shame or embarrassment whatsoever.
Fair point. They were and still are way higher than I like. I probably should have said something like, unacceptable levels. This thread was in no means an attempt to condemn Obama. In fact, I did not bring up Obama at all. It’s possible to like the Obama policies and the Trump policies. Which seems to be happening here. No major issues with the Trump policies. I did not expect this.
They are. The latest caravan from Guatemala is being repulsed. Kudo’s to Mexico. They have never been a partner in this struggle. Until now.
Are there any Trump border policies that have made thing worse? Would you change any of them? Do you like the “remain in Mexico agreement?”
I actually gave you a like for that one because it was pretty cleaver. I may need to steal that one the next time I unhide of Smyra’s posts and actually read it.
They didn’t have a USA President like Trump to deal with.

70 replies in and nobody is saying that Trump is doing a lousy job. I’m shocked.

It the wall I think is ridiculous. It’s expensive and and won’t work. I don’t really have a problem with the rest of it. This proves it. Illegal immigration is down without it.

If he was trying to cross the border INTO Mexico from Central America, how does that reflect on Trump’s policies one way or the other?
Okay. But the border patrol disagrees. According to their stats, areas that have an effective barrier see far fewer border crashers.
Great question! Trump has gotten Mexico to help as never before. This dude was on his way to the U.S, and Mexico stopped him!

The Remain in Mexico policy (euphemistically referred to as the Migrant Protection Laws) is about asylum seekers, not illegal immigrants, and may very well be illegal under current immigration laws.
That plus a lot of other implemented and proposed policies are probably very minimally effective at reducing illegal border crossings…while also being very cruel to asylum seekers.
But I guess no price is too small to pay for the illusion of increased security…it’s not like these asylum seekers are Americans or anything…
Who told you that? Nearly all of them claim to be asylum seekers. It’s easy to lie about and many do. We determine which cases are valid. Not them. If you don’t like the remain in Mexico policy, what would you replace it with?

Nobody “told me that”.
I can read.
I’d replace it with something legal.
Law and order used to mean something…not too long ago.

JayJay:
I can read.
Congratulations.

You don’t care that Trump might have no statutory authority to enact Remain in Mexico as long as it makes you feel safe?
