Yet, other developed nations with borders or in closer proximity to China have performed exceedingly well in this crisis by comparison to us. We are going to lap the entire world in both numbers of infected and numbers of deaths, because of the complete and utter failure of Trump and his administration in the early stages of this pandemic. There is no other way around this basic reality. We lost valuable time. Week after week after week after week to prepare for the devastation that was to come. This is what happens when you have a non-serious, incompetent person as the head of the Executive Branch. Countless deaths could have been prevented if not for Trump’s failures. As the article astutely points out.

Say there is this policy that the States have to source their own supplies and when they do they find them they are confiscated by the Federal Government. In what world does that help anything?
