Isn’t the goal for most tv stars to become movie stars?
Jezcoe

She already was a movie star.
She is a terrible actress who is good at punching things.
Maybe she will find better success as a Producer.

Congratulations, you just described nearly every action movie star. Maybe you were thinking of the great thespians like Sylvester Stallone, The Rock and John Cena.
Jezcoe
910
Nah… they can deliver actual lines.
Also with Stallone… The original Rocky is still a masterpiece.

She ruined her career. The movie will go absolutely nowhere
Jezcoe
912
Maybe we can all be lucky and Shapiro will write the thing.

913
How good of producers are they?
zantax
914
How on earth would you know that?
Jezcoe
915
I doubt that it will get wide distribution.
Might be able to catch it streaming on the Daily Wire.
zantax
916
Odds are it will go to a streaming platform eventually.
sikofit
917
Just like Run, Hide, Fight it will not.
zantax
919
That they are keeping their film on their platform to start is no evidence it won’t eventually be distributed on a wider platform later on.

Common sense. Ben Shapiro is out of his element and the films have no distribution range whatsoever. Any movie that has to “premiere” in Russia is bound to be a flop.
Jezcoe
921
I wish them all luck and I hope that the movie is super awesome.
John Wick was made for like $25 million and that is a super low budget action movie.
Maybe Shapiro has that kind of scratch to put up.

It didn’t premier in Russia, it premiered in Venice. And keeping it exclusive, for now, to their own site is no different than a Netflix or Hulu original film being exclusive to those platforms.
Jezcoe
923
The Daily Wire is not in anyway like Netflix or Hulu.
sikofit
924
It is absolutely different. Those are movie streaming sites with hundreds of millions of subscribers . People don’t go to the Daily Wire to pay for movies.

925
Being in the industry what is your honest assessment of their chance for success?
zantax
926
Not really, they offer a set price for their originals, the people who make and star in the movies don’t get additional money based on number of viewers. Guessing here. They may cut some well established or highly sought after makers points based on that but Pretty sure it’s not standard practice. And then of course it can be released to different platforms at a later date.
