But “Barbie” pretty much says it all.

and that is correct. if investors are not pleased with a company, woe be that company, no matter what the bottom line is.
my large corporation (ATT) posted a large profit (4,000,000,000) but cash flow was a bit on the small side, stock was punished severely.

The wife and I saw it this weekend. A very sad story that’s even sadder because it’s based on a true story.

If by “doing well,” you mean someone buying tickets to sell out showings that no one actually attends, then yeah, I guess…

You think that a lot of money is being spent on that? How much? Evidence?

Interesting article here. Obviously anecdotal evidence.
My twitter feed has been bombarded with pay if forward tweets from the movie so I suspect its a mix of a great advertising plus they dont care is the sold seats go unfilled.
Only loser here are the cinemas who rely on audiences buying concessions to make the profits they need.

“Questions are being asked….”
Yep. I was asking that question. Still am. I understand there is a conspiracy theory about the elusive Q anon, whatever that is. I would just like some actual facts.

You think that movie is produced by Qanon, then?

No it’s being co-opted. To the tune of 100 mil.

Who is buying all these empty seats?
No idea. I think the empty seat thing is a bit of a comfy blanket for media. “Shhh nobody is watching it, it’s just empty seats there there”.
Even the guardian article is silly. “The show was sold out but we def saw empty seats at the beginning of the movie!”

The writers have definitely leant into the QAnon conspiracy theories surronding who/why trafficks in children. Cazaviel has embraced many of these theories including the rich and powerful derive a drug to help them live longer from children. Obviously no coincidence why he was chosen for the part.
But with that said its a decent conspiracy thriller albeit one that makes you incredibly sad. The thought of any child being trafficked for any reason is beyond horrific and anything that brings awareness to this cannot be all bad. As I said in another post the religious aspects of the movie passed me by.
That claim is bogus. The theatre was nearly full when my wife and I attended for example.
Lots of BS claims being made by libs over this movie because they don’t want it out there imo.
