Obviously not or you wouldn’t have said this.

Which was never said otherwise.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I am seeing this pop up quiet a bit the last few days sad if it’s true.

Correction. A thread is all the same (theoretically) discussion containing many conversations.

Apple is in a far stronger position to stream than any other service simply because there are over 2 billion iphones in consumers hands globally.

No one else has access to that delivery infrastructure in the same way as Apple does.

I have no idea how the streaming rights plus IPs would work. Doubtful apple would want streaming without creative control over the IPs.

Ultimately the money in streaming is in sporting rights and thats what Apple really wants. As I said before Disneys main source of profitability was to come from the cricket rights in India which they lost last year.

Yeah it’s funny but not for the reasons you think it is

Wall Street Journal says it’s “wokeness”:

The libs know it’s wokeness. They aren’t about to admit it though.

Does wokeness affect other films? Like Barbie?

To be fair thats an opinion piece not a stance the WSJ is taking.

It will be interesting to see now that Apple has lost its battle for streaming rights to UK Premier league football. If they will go for Disneys streaming business.

Though one possible complication is IP ownership. I doubt Apple wants Disney to have editorial control of the likes of Star Wars and Marvel but will Disney want to sell those IPs lock stock and barrell. The movie franchises are locked in with the streaming series so Apple will want those rights as well.

It could be that they sell the IPs but retain licensing rights for theme parks etc but who really knows.

…there’s an ole saying about that…

…lemme think

Oh yeah…

…get woke, go broke :sunglasses: :tumbler_glass:

…had they just followed the business path Walt paved for his name. :upside_down_face:

Probably. But I will never be seeing that movie so I’ll have to wait for your review. If you say it’s not wokey, then it almost certainly is.

It’s super wokey… and is about the smash the box office for this weekend.

Go woke go broke?

Too soon to say … what did it cost to produce?

I see that most theatres are showing it with “Oppenheimer” as a double feature to boost the opening numbers. Typical marketing ploy to make the mediocre look better.

Errr the the tickets are sold separately. Very few places do the old style double feature now. Though lots of people did choose to do a back to back.

Barbies budget was $145m and it has smashed that globally. With 155m domestically and 182m globally.

Spin it how you want but this movie was a financial success.

Sound of Freedom was 3rd. :fist:t4:

I hope you enjoyed the show.

Not me mate. I will watch Barbie on streaming. I will be off to watch Oppenheimer but at 3 hours long the missus said she can wait for that one on streaming as well.

Why on streaming? So you can be alone with your emotions? :stuck_out_tongue:
