Did Trump do the right thing in killing Soleimani?

How many Americans does he have to kill before it’s okay to terminate him? Would you have waited until after his next. attack? Or would you still be in favor of letting him go?

Apparently if you’re well connected you’re allowed to kill Americans and get away with it.

No Iraq is definitely kicking us out.

I heard he’s not connected anymore. May he rest in pieces. :ghost:

It wasn’t him- it was Iran- and they will replace him with someone else who will do the same thing.

Look we have been fighting a low level cold war with Iran for 40 years. It isn’t smart to turn it into a hot war. Nor is it smart to piss off the Iraqis so they boot us from the region thus ensuring greater Iranian dominance in the region.

You have to see beyond the small joy it gives to kill a bad man. Strategic interests are more important.

You didn’t answer the question. Do you kill him after his next murder? Or do you let him walk away from that one too? How may more freebies does he get?

Well we didn’t assassinate their leaders or invade Iran after it took US hostages for a year. We didn’t assassinate or invade after 60 Iran backed attacks in 84. We didn’t assassinate or attack after that passenger plane was downed in 88. We didn’t assassinate or attack after they took 10 US sailors hostage in 2016. We didn’t attack when they took out a drone, attacked oil tankers and oil installations.

But now we risk total war?

Really this all goes back to- did we gain or lose from the assassination?

And the answer is we lost. We lost influence with the Iraqis, they now want us out- which gives more power and control over to Iran.

Again- look beyond the temporary glee of killing a bad man to acknowledge that it was a stupid move that has gained us nothing.

You weigh each situation- but do you assassinate a nation’s top military leader? No- not unless you know for damn sure that you will gain from the situation. We lost.

Fortunately the President disagrees. We should never be too afraid of Iran to terminate mass murderers. We gain by not allowing him to kill again as he had planned.

100% this

He has been weighed measured and found wanting.

So in your opinion if you’re connected you’re allowed to get way killing Americans.

For some reason I’m not surprised.

Yes. It was the correct strike at the correct time.

This was one very bad actor.

This will also be in Iran’s best interest.

He is a bad guy, but we should have dotted the "I"s and crossed the "T"s before doing this.

Kim Jong Un and Bin Salman say hi!

But it makes Donald :peach: look so badass!

But wait - if Donald :peach: killed this guy, does that mean “some” cons are finally willing to concede that Obama killed bin Laden? Back in the day "some’ cons were reluctant to.

Still trying to deflect…

Are you saying they didn’t murder US citizens? Why do they get a pass? In fact better than a pass- love letters and fawning?

Start your own poll.

I find this poll kind of interesting…not one single forum lib voted yes, or they didn’t answer the poll.

Why?
