I’ll be clear; I don’t want to be “united” with libism. I despise it and everything it promotes. I don’t want to live in France or Norway or Kumbayaland. And I’m willing to overlook a lot to keep it from happening.

So the outrage is amusing. Forgive me if I don’t share it.

Yeah, that gets me about this “he’s divisive” thing. What it is really saying is “I’m not going to agree with anything he says or does, I hate him, and there is no way he can make me unite in his cause”. Biden can possibly unite with the BLM mobs, he is not likely to unite with me. He is divisive, not Trump, from my standpoint.
As far as any October surprises Dems may have in storage, I’m not going to switch my vision for the country over to Biden/Kamala/BLM/Antifa over whatever they come up with. Maybe in 4 years we can find the perfect candidate but for now I’m looking at keeping the Dems out.

On the old board, I had a whole thread about this categorically different kind of Trump lie: a granular form of gaslighting (i.e., “I never did or said the thing you claim that I did or said, even though there’s objective proof and you witnessed it”). Why? I don’t let people who do this anywhere near me, if I can avoid it, let alone into the White House. What’s his problem? Doesn’t this seem like the behavior of a toxic, disordered personality?

Many scam emails are intentionally full of typos so that they weed out people who are less likely to figure out the scam.

This Trumpian brand of gaslighting should screen out people capable of independent thought. This nonsense serves a useful purpose, though - people who defend it are easily identifiable.
