Jesus. Here’s what the report said about that meeting:
“On the facts here, the government would unlikely be able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the June 9 meeting participants had general knowledge that their conduct was unlawful," the report reads. “The investigation has not developed evidence that the participants in the meeting were familiar with the foreign-contribution ban or the application of federal law to the relevant factual context.”
They didn’t think they’d be able to prove that Junior and the others knew what they were doing was illegal. Does that help you? I know you’ll just ignore this.
The report doesn’t even have the word “collude”. It was laser focused on the legal definition of “conspiracy”. And it’s 18 angry Dems. Get your talking points straight.
It’s amazing to me that the conclusion really is “the Trump team was too stupid to know what they were doing was illegal” and that somehow every Republican toast thinks this is good report for the President.
The thing about the report is that they knew that they were likely meeting with Russian intelligence assets but not one of them suggested going to FBI about… even after the campaign was warned that Russians were trying to infiltrate the campaign.
“Read the report” is the left’s new chant. Because they can’t find anything in there that’s a smoking gun to quote, but can’t give up on collusion. It’s kind of like Stockholm syndrome.
The media held them hostage with fake news for two years. What else can they do? Admit they were wrong?
Some take their football and head home to Nebraska, lol!
That doesn’t change the previous quote. Add it in. The report is saying that they were too stupid to realize that what they were doing is illegal. So it’s not nothing.
Ok. Now go back and read the part where it says that Mueller could not determine that the alleged information had any value (it had to have a certain value for the statutes to apply) and if it did, they couldn’t tell what that value was. Then go read the part where the report says they aren’t even sure that information would be considered as something that was meant by the applicable laws. And when you finish with that, go back and read that even if information was something that was covered by the applicable laws, then a first amendment question is raised (really…making the passing of historical information illegal may be a first amendment problem?
Then go back and say the only reason they didn’t indict Don Jr is because he was stupid.
They’re just parroting what their left-wing masters are telling em in hopes if they repeat it many times it become factorial…and then accuse us of not reading the report.
If Mueller wanted Americans to read the report he should have summarized it a little better. The only Americans who are going to read a 400 page report is those liberals who are looking for dirt to pin on Donald Trump. The rest of us have better things to do. I’m sure that the libs will bring forth their “best” arguments which will be easily dismissed by labelling them talking points.
The Barr letter is far easier to digest for the average American. Even better than that is the way Donald Trump reduces the entire thing to a bumper sticker: No Collusion. No Obstruction. Total Exoneration. This is a message that most Americans can understand.
