So edgy.

Huh?

If government can’t make decisions, it can’t operate.

You think the CRA and hate crimes are authoritarian?

Is a man being married to a man against the regulations set by the nation, state and store?

If not, then, no, it’s not at all like that.

And I didn’t sue anyone. I didn’t complain to the store, or the town. We spoke to our neighbors.

No those standards aren’t out now…not for gender orientation/identity.

But don’t take my word for it- let’s hear from Florida Secretary of Education Richard Corcoran.

Department of Education Secretary Richard Corcoran said Monday that his agency will determine the age appropriateness by establishing standards, curriculum and professional development “so that people have that clear understanding.” He said that “teachers are supportive, but they want guardrails.” The law gives the agency until June 30, 2023, to write those guidelines.

A year after the law itself takes effect.

I wouldn’t care if I was. :man_shrugging:

Wait, never, sarcasm?

Sure they are. Teach curriculum to current standards. Nothing has to be spelled out.

The Secretary of Education himself has said there are no current standards.

That’s why he’s writing them.

Are you saying he’s lying?

The teachers are supportive, but want guardrails. Those standards would be in addition to the current standard, to give guardrails. The law is fine, the standards are fine, there are concerns. These additions will address the concerns.

No there are not which is why the teachers are concerned.

They want to know what they can and cannot teach.

Especially since this law gives parents the right to file complaints and suits.

The teachers are the ones on the front lines. If they say the law needs standards, then the law needs standards.

all Karen’s find justification for their actions. You bragged about how proud you were of your Daughter telling a person to put on their mask at a store. You have no idea if that person had a medical reason to not wear a mask or some other reason. Karenism at it’s finest be proud dad.

Do you understand once government takes sides…it ceases to represent the people.

You understand the concept of free society?

Doesn’t mean you allow killing and rape etc. But in free society the people work it out. Not government.

Not if they teach the curriculum. You guys are just hurt that they can’t indoctrinate kids anymore. Teach the curriculum.

With this law… the judge works it out.

Precisely what the courts are for. Now we all understand why the left wants to stock it.

You would be wrong. I am more concerned that we’ll intentioned teachers will have a overzealous parent THINK they are teacher their kid about gay people and then sue the school and the teacher because of it.

I’m not worried about “indoctrination” to know gay people exist. There is none. They live in Florida with one of the highest gay populations in the US.

With this law the government has taken sides.

It’s not leaving people the space to “work it out”.

Sure you are. It’s the motivation behind detractors of this law.

Yes they do, but it’s not a third grader’s business to know what you do between the sheets. Teachers shouldn’t broach the subject. “That’s something you should ask your parents.” is a fine explanation to a young one. Why is it so important to teach kids about the gay?

It’s leaving it up to the responsible parties, the parents. It’s not the teacher’s job to explain to little Johnny why Billy’s got two dads.
